The National Wrestling Alliance makes its triumphant return from hiatus with their new Pay-Per-View event at the end of March. The name of this show will be Back for the Attack and will air live on Fite TV at 2 pm EST on Sunday, March 21st.
This will be the first Pay-Per-View event of 2021 for the resilient company, which was recently speculated to be closing its doors for good. The National Wrestling Alliance was on the run of its storied history at the end of 2019 heading into 2020, with the debut of its weekly show NWA Powerrr on Youtube bringing in more eyes to the product than ever in recent memory. However, the combination of the Covid – 19 pandemic and the departure of owner Dave Lagana forced Billy Corgan to halt future production of its flagship show.
The NWA has been able to remain present in wrestling over the last year, however, with its stars appearing on the United Wrestling Network weekly show (before they were also forced to halt production late last year) as well as more prominently on AEW Dynamite. The NWA Women’s World Champion Serena Deeb is a contracted wrestler to AEW, while other NWA stars like Ricky Starks and Eddie Kingston have signed full time with AEW. While this may leave fans wondering what is left of the NWA roster, its continued partnership with AEW will help to ensure that there is no shortage of talent and exposure.
This will be the NWA’s first pay-per-view special since Hard Times last January, and is sure to reintroduce the wrestling community to its stars in big fashion. Thunder Rosa as well the likes of Aron Stevens, NWA Television Champion Da Pope, and NWA World Champion Nick Aldis have all been confirmed to be a part of the show in some way. It is also being reported that the NWA will begin a set of tapings later this month for television, meaning that there will be even more content to come after this pay-per-view.
