On episode seventy-six of ChocoPro, Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki, collectively known as Best Bros, finally won tag team gold. In the main event of the episode in question, they challenged Emi Sakura and Kaori Yoneyama, also known as Reset, for the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship. After a hard-fought match, viewers witnessed the crowning of new titleholders. Suruga secured the pinfall victory over Sakura, her mentor. Thus, Best Bros ended the show as the new Asia Dream Tag Team Champions.
Best Bros versus Reset could best be described as a showdown between exuberance and experience. Mei Suruga and Baliyan Akki are a relatively new tag team. They live up to their team name of Best Bros, not only as real-life friends but incredible partners between the ropes. Meanwhile, Emi Sakura and Kaori Yoneyama have been teaming for years, having won gold in Ice Ribbon and elsewhere. Simply put, this would prove to be the greatest tag team challenge Best Bros have faced yet.
This rang be true as the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship match drew to its conclusion. It seemed like everything Best Bros tried, Reset had an answer to. Whether it was the high-flying offense of Akki or the grueling Lucifer submission hold of Suruga, Sakura and Yoneyama were able to keep up. However, the match would conclude with the pupil overcoming the teacher. Best Bros hit Sakura with an elevated splash, Akki launching Suruga into the air onto Sakura. One pinfall later and new champions were decided.

Post-match, an exhausted Suruga and Akki took a moment to collect themselves, new Asia Dream Tag Team Titles in hand and all. Akki struggled to convey his thoughts, clearly overjoyed over becoming a champion in Gatoh Move Pro Wrestling. Suruga was just as beside herself, clutching the purple belt in her hands. “India, Japan, a literal Asia Dream Tag Team,” Akki remarked. “Whatever country you are from, we will see you there. Best Bros out.”
It’s worth noting that this is the first-ever title Suruga has held in her young pro wrestling career; she only began wrestling in 2018. Meanwhile, this marks the first time that Akki has ever held tag team gold, not only in Japan but internationally. He is also only the second male competitor to have won the Asia Dream Tag Team Championship; the first was Masahiro Takanashi, who last held the gold in 2018. Best Bros ended 2020 on a high note; time will only tell where they go next as Asia Dream Tag Team Champions.
