Indie Watch: Promise Braxton (F.K.A Londyn Ali)

Promise Braxton

Indie Watch is our regular series that looks at all of the amazing talents working the independent circuits around the world. Some are veterans revitalizing their careers, some are indie prospects hitting their peaks, while others are names to be on the watch for! This edition looks at a future star of wrestling Promise Braxton

Some wrestlers take some time to find their feet in professional wrestling.  Just three years into her career Promise Braxton has found her footing and understands wrestling on a level some veterans have yet to reach.  We here are LWOPW see nothing but success in the future for the 23-year-old Braxton.

Braxton debuted in 2017 under the name Londyn Ali.  One of the main places she worked was Pro Wrestling Express (PWX) who had trained her, she debuted for them in April 2017 in an intergender match against Cristiano Negro.  Then known as “The Exalted One” she mostly worked for PWX and RYSE Wrestling.  What stood out even early on was Braxton’s look and how she understood her character.  With her distinct tattoos and a badass gimmick that engrossed fans, she quickly became a talent that many in Pennsylvania earmarked for success.

Braxton bet on herself and took part in a RISE Wrestling workshop in November which saw her compete in a dark match at the Berwyn Eagles Club, an iconic venue for women’s wrestling as the long time home of SHIMMER Wrestling.  It wouldn’t be until 2018 that she would taste gold for the first time when she won the Renegade Wrestling Alliance (RWA) Women’s Championship.

It was Reality of Wrestling (ROW) in Texas and the Title Match Network that the newly christened “rebel Buddhist” Promise Braxton would finally start to gain buzz outside of her home state.  ROW especially has become a go-to place to see upcoming women’s talent including Rache Chanel, AQA, Hyan, and Braxton.  Working for companies like this it’s only a matter of time before the indie fanbase catches on to what some of us have known for a while now, Promise Braxton will be a star!
