#AndNEW: Lacey Ryan Wins FSW Women’s Title

After a rough start, Lacey Ryan followed the disappointment with a couple of big wins to earn a Title shot against FSW Women’s Champion Taya Valkyrie on Sunday night in the Fight Capital at Future Stars of Wrestling‘s MECCA V. Taya attacked the challenger before the bell and dominated the early stages of the contest. Lacey got through the butterflies and utilized her fast paced offense keeping the Champion off balance. The frustration began to show and Taya attempted to use a chair to take out her worthy opponent. However, it backfired.

Lacey kicked the chair into Taya’s face which was all it took before a frogsplash ended it. Lacey Ryan has become extremely popular and Sam’s Town Live erupted at the three count. Valkyrie was at best a part-time Champion and now Future Stars of Wrestling has one who will be in Las Vegas to defend it. The women’s division has improved rapidly, and Ryan certainly has her work cut out for her going into the new year.

About Brian Ronovech

I have the most supportive woman on Earth, and I live with her in Las Vegas. Sports have been a part of my life since I was a child. My wrestling life began with the AWA in the early eighties, and I was hooked immediately. I love a high energy, physical pro wrestling match whether it's in a stadium or a high school. I love great stories and characters, but the great match is what gets me every time. Writing has taken me from the school newspaper to blogs about leadership, leukemia, hockey, and wrestling. I've realized that for me everything comes back to writing. There is nothing else I would rather do.
