Finally and officially, The Rock will return home to the WWE. “The People’s Champ” made it official Monday afternoon on his personal Twitter stating that Friday Night SmackDown will be the return of “The Great One”.

The Rock Will Officially Return

It has been reported for months now that WWE and Fox were doing everything in their power to get the essential creator of “SmackDown” on the premiere of the show on Fox. This not only will help pull in big numbers for the blue brands debut, but keep the people wondering all week if what The Rock will be up to this Friday.

This will be “The Great One’s” first official appearance under the WWE umbrella since his surprise appearance on Monday Night Raw when he confronted Rusev all the way back on Oct. 6th, 2014, as this will mark almost exactly five years since. Of course, we could always count the night The Rock surprised the fans in the building following Raw in February of 2017 and proceeded to call CM Punk before being left on voicemail. It has been a long time which will make this extra special.

He will be joining the likes of Hulk Hogan, Sting, Ric Flair, and Stone Cold Steve Austin for this special 20th Anniversary show that is being celebrated on SmackDown’s debut on Fox. There really is not a bigger name to get for this show in wrestling, even the world. The Rock being in and electrifying the crowd for the first time in so long will make this night perfect as Fox continues to fire on all cylinders. Fans are and will be exciting as they anticipate the many possibilities of what “The People’s Champ” will bring to the table on Friday night as it certainly will be “can’t miss” television.

With The Rock on board, the biggest week in wrestling in quite sometime only gets bigger and better as this is the type of week fans dream of. The Rock is home.
