The Street Profits 139-day reign as EVOLVE Tag Team Champions has come to an end, putting a stop to NXT dominance in the EVOLVE title scene. Back in October of last year, NXT Superstars began to invade EVOLVE, with Street Profits capturing the tag team titles from Doom Patrol (Chris Dickinson & Jaka) and Fabian Aichner capturing the EVOLVE Championship. Aichner’s reign would only last briefly, but the Street Profits have held the tag team gold for nearly six months. On Friday night at EVOLVE 123, that all changed, when they faced a new team calling themselves The Unwanted, that featured indie veterans Eddie Kingston and Joe Gacy, who defeated Street Profits and took home the gold. The Unwanted is a new stable lead by Kingston that features Gacy, Colby Corino and Shane Strickland.

It marks the first EVOLVE titles for both men, but neither are short on gold in their trophy case. Eddie Kingston is the longest reigning CHIKARA Grand Champion (924 days) and is also a former Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) World Heavyweight Champion, 2x All American Wrestling (AAW) Heavyweight Champion, IWA Mid South Heavyweight Champion, 2x CZW World Tag Team Champion, 2x IWA Mid South Tag Team Champion and AAW Tag Team Champion.

Joe Gacy is no slouch either, as a former 2x CZW World Heavyweight Champion, 3x CZW Wired Champion, and the reigning MCW Pro (formerly Maryland Championship Wrestling) Rage Television Champion.
