#AndNEW: Toni Storm Wins wXw Women’s Championship

For those maybe expecting 2018 Mae Young Classic winner Toni Storm to perhaps help out Kairi Sane tonight at NXT TakeOver: War Games II in her war against Shayna Baszler and the Horsewomen, Jessamyn Duke and Marina Shafir, Storm was in Germany tonight competing for Germany’s Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw). And in a matter of seconds, Storm defeated wXw Women’s Champion Melanie Gray to become a 2x wXw Women’s Champion, regaining the title she had to vacate due to injury in August.

Toni Storm Wins wXw Women’s Championship

Toni Storm defeated fellow NXT UK competitor Killer Kelly for the wXw Women’s title this past January, holding it for 221 days before she had to vacate the title due to injury. wXw veteran Melanie Gray won the vacant title on September 1 and has defended it against Killer Kelly, Martina The Session Moth and Kris Wolf, until facing Storm tonight.
