WWE SummerSlam 2026 will feature the climax of one of 2026’s biggest rivalries. Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi III will take place inside the unforgiving Hell in a Cell on Saturday. Both monsters are tied at one win apiece, and their clash in Minnesota is expected to be the finale of their epic feud.
The program started way back in the 2026 Men’s Royal Rumble match when the Beast eliminated the Ruler. It has technically lasted for 8 months. Throughout the feud, we have seen chaotic brawls, thrilling matches, and fake retirements. Hence, Triple H would need to put in extra effort to give the Lesnar/Femi saga the ending it deserves.
On that note, let’s look at a few ways WWE can make Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi III matter at SummerSlam 2026.
#3. Brock Lesnar Retires for Real After Losing to Oba Femi
The whole point of the Lesnar/Femi saga is for the Beast to pass the torch to Oba Femi. The Ruler is expected to be “The Next Big Thing,” as Lesnar was during his early years in WWE. The former NXT Champion will dominate the roster in the years to come and take up the mantle as the company’s “Alpha Male.”
The Bringer of War made quick work of Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 as he dominated the Beast in a 5-minute thriller. Following the loss, Lesnar seemingly retired only to return for revenge a month later. This time around, the Conqueror should legitimately hang up the boots after passing the torch to Femi.
SummerSlam is taking place in Minnesota, a place very close to Lesnar’s heart. After one last epic fight, the Beast could get back up on his feet and soak in the live crowd’s adulation. He could take off his wrestling boots and gloves before thanking the crowd. WWE needs to be careful in this scenario, as they should make this retirement feel legitimate.
#2. The Beast Endorses The Ruler at SummerSlam 2026
Simply defeating or even retiring BLesnar won’t have the same effect at SummerSlam 2026. Oba technically accomplished those two things at WrestleMania 42. Instead, Triple H could have a legitimate post-match acknowledgment and endorsement.
The Ruler could endure Lesnar’s biggest blows and give his rival the beating of a lifetime. Impressed by his opponent’s resilience, strength, and determination, the Beast could stare Femi in the eye and shake his hand. This would be a proper endorsement that would serve as the ultimate rub.
The Conqueror did something similar with Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam 2023. The endorsement made Rhodes look like a massive Superstar. Repeating the angle with Femi would also elevate the young star’s stock.
#1. Lesnar vs. Femi III Does Justice to the Stipulation
The Hell in a Cell will be returning for the first time since Bad Blood 2024. CM Punk and Drew McIntyre fought tooth and nail in a 5-star classic that had the perfect combination of violence, anticipation, and emotion. Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi III would need to be equally good, if not better, at the Biggest Party of the Summer.
The Beast and the Ruler would need to up the brutality this Saturday. The rivalry is worthy of reaching its conclusion inside the Devil’s Playground, and the match needs to justify the stipulation. Unlike their previous encounter, this shouldn’t be short and infested with finishers.
WWE has kept them apart physically in the build to SummerSlam. The pent-up aggression must be on full display inside Hell in a Cell. Chairs, tables, steel steps, and kendo sticks, among other weapons, should be used as both men leave each other in a heap. It has also been a while since we’ve seen the cell break. Femi tossing Lesnar into the cell could tear down a soft corner.
The action could spill outside the cell. Either way, the two monsters need to find ways of adding violence and brutality. If given enough time, they could do that with ease.
