For months, Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi have been in an intense rivalry with each other. They first met in the Royal Rumble, where Lesnar eliminated Femi. The two later met on the March 16, 2026 episode of WWE Raw, where they attacked each other to start the build for their match at WrestleMania 42.
Femi won and thought that the rivalry was behind him. But Lesnar returned weeks later, igniting the feud once again that motivated him to victory at Clash in Paris.
With the score tied one to one, Femi decided to put all his focus on the King of the Ring tournament, which he won at Night of Champions. But after Lesnar attacked him on the following Raw, he decided to postpone a championship match for their third match at SummerSlam. It was decided that night that it would take place inside Hell in a Cell. With less than a week until the match, what would happen when a weigh-in was conducted between the two men?
Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar Come Face-to-Face on WWE Raw for the Final Time
The Hell in a Cell match format has been done 53 times already in WWE. Shawn Michaels beat the Undertaker in the first match at Badd Blood: In Your House in 1997, while CM Punk beat Drew McIntyre in the most recent match at Bad Blood two years ago.
It’s used as a last resort when two wrestlers can’t stand each other and want to inflict as much punishment as they can. What’s happened in the past few months has shown that Femi and Lesnar’s discourse has certainly warranted a Hell in a Cell match.
The two men have tackled each other, thrown chairs, flipped tables, and have done all sorts of violent things during their matches and the builds for them. Femi had an automatic championship match set at SummerSlam due to becoming King of the Ring, and he turned it down in order for a third match with Lesnar.
With the weigh-in set as their final meeting before their match on Saturday, WWE had to make sure things were under control in a major way.
The cell was lowered down with many police officers, Raw General Manager Adam Pearce, and Triple H all inside. Doing so would hopefully protect Femi, as he was the first person to come out for the weigh-in. Pearce instructed him to get on the scale. He took his shirt off before stepping on the scale. Pearce read his weight at 302 pounds. Lesnar’s music hit, and he came out with Paul Heyman. He took his hat off and handed it to Heyman before walking into the cell.
But then he decided to close the door, locking everyone inside. As he walked around the cage with Femi following him, Heyman said there was a change in plans due to the fact that him being inside Hell in a Cell isn’t a good idea. Heyman put over his many accomplishments as he climbed onto the announcer’s table, saying that Femi cannot beat him and that he weighed 303 pounds. The two men got face-to-face and began to yell at each other.
As Lesnar exited, Femi said that he always runs away and that he’s locked in the cage with him instead of the other way around. When Lesnar finally walked away, Femi turned his attention to the police officers still left in the ring. In a powerful display of force, he grabbed one of the officers and tossed him to the ground.
Many of them were then shoved around, with one getting a Fall from Grace at the very end of the rampage. He is showing Lesnar just how strong he will be inside Hell in a Cell on Saturday, setting the stage for an intense match.
