The Queen of the Ring Tournament in WWE this year featured sixteen contestants in fatal four-way matches for the quarterfinals. The fatal four ways scheduled were as follows: IYO SKY vs. Lash Legend vs. Giulia vs. Roxanne Perez; Raquel Rodriguez vs. Jacy Jayne vs. Kiana James vs. Bayley; Jade Cargill vs. Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria vs. Charlotte Flair; Liv Morgan vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Chelsea Green vs. Becky Lynch.
There’s only one pro wrestler who will defeat all three of them: IYO SKY.
IYO SKY Has a Clear Path to the Crown
IYO already defeated Roxanne Perez in the quarterfinals. Roxanne Perez was despondent after her comrades in the Judgment Day were not at ringside to help her win a no-disqualification fatal four-way match. IYO will defeat Raquel in the semifinals. Unlike Roxanne, Raquel did win her quarterfinals match. However, like Roxanne, she did not receive any help from Judgment Day either, and that lack of assistance will cost her in the semifinals against IYO.
And, IYO will inevitably defeat Liv Morgan in the finals of this tournament. Since Liv was not there for Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, they should not be there for her either.
This will not only elicit dissension in the Judgment Day, but also leave a convenient opening for Stephanie Vaquer to return and cost Liv Morgan the Queen of the Ring Tournament as a way to get revenge for taking her title at WrestleMania 42. Besides, Liv Morgan is the World Champion and should not have been in this tournament in the first place.
A SKY Victory Creates the Best SummerSlam Match
Wouldn’t it be poetic if IYO SKY punched her ticket to SmackDown by winning the tournament? It would be peculiar to see SKY pick her ally, Rhea Ripley, over a rival in Liv Morgan as her pick for a championship match.
However, IYO’s excuse would be that she missed Ripley and chose her so that she could be on SmackDown with her. Furthermore, IYO SKY has Ripley’s number, as Ripley never defeated her. Now that RHIYO already had their tag title run, it would be very exciting to see them battle for the title at SummerSlam.
Furthermore, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY have unfinished business from Evolution last year. That title match did not come to a conclusive finish due to a historic MITB Cash-in by Naomi. It would be repetitive for IYO SKY to choose Liv Morgan for her SummerSlam opponent after already defeating her in the finals.

Liv could be eliminated in the semifinals, but putting the World Champion in this tournament and not booking her for the finals would hurt her credibility.
WWE already dug itself into a hole by booking their world champion in a tournament that is supposed to determine the number one contender for the world champion.
They might as well use Liv Morgan to put over the next Queen of the Ring, so that IYO’s victory in the finals is more impactful and elicits more anticipation for the SummerSlam Night 1 Main Event that is rumored to be a women’s match this year. Ripley and SKY have so much history and chemistry that booking them in that main event spot can’t be passed up.
IYO SKY is a former World Champion who was left off the WrestleMania card this year and was merely a sidepiece for Ripley’s world title program with Jade Cargill.
The fact that IYO SKY stole the show at WrestleMania 41 and walked in and out of ‘Mania 41 as the World Champion just to be left off the WrestleMania 42 card was disheartening and disgraceful. She was even supposed to close off her story with Kabuki Warriors at ‘Mania this year, but that program was relegated to Backlash after the unceremonious firing of Kairi Sane.
In order for her to regain her credibility and momentum, an effective way for WWE to make up for that blunder is by booking her in the main event of SummerSlam so that she can steal the show yet again. In order to ensure that the fans are not cantankerous and instead react to this tournament with immense fervor, the profound ineptitude of the WWE creative team needs to dissipate.
IYO SKY must unquestionably become Queen of the Ring in 2026. Not Charlotte Flair. Not Raquel Rodriguez. And certainly, not Liv Morgan.
