WWE NXT Match Graphic for Kam Hendrix vs, Tony D’Angelo for the NXT Championship

WWE NXT Preview (6/2/26) – Who Has Their Eyes on the NXT Championship?

There are more championship matches are set to take place next week. We just saw the NXT Women’s Championship get successfully defended by Lola Vice against Izzi Dame. Now it is time to see Tony D’Angelo defend his NXT Championship.

Izzi Dame and Lola Vice had some outside distractions from The Culling and OTM, but it left Lola Vice victorious. Who will be her next challenger? Will Izzi Dame get another shot at the championship? Will The Culling remain a strong group?

The State of The Culling

As I previously mentioned, Shawn Spears and Niko Vance had come out during Izzi Dame’s championship match. Due to much of the outside turmoil, Dame found herself caught in the three count from Lola Vice after receiving a powerful backhand.

Vance and Dame seem to be getting more frustrated with Spears by the week. It feels like a matter of time before they break. They were upset with Spears for making a match against OTM the same night as Dame’s title match.

As a way to solve that problem, Spears attacked OTM, cancelling the match for the night. Dame and Vance were also upset about that decision, but it would ensure their presence in Dame’s match.

Now that Izzi Dame lost the championship match, I’m sure a lot of the blame will fall on Shawn Spears for coming out and trying to help her. Have Niko Vance and Izzi Dame had it with Shawn Spears? What’s next for Spears?

Who is Challenging Tony D’Angelo?

Next week on WWE NXT, Tony D’Angelo will be defending the NXT Championship against Kam Hendrix. Ever since Hendrix made his debut a few weeks ago he immediately had his eyes set on the gold.

For being a new talent, Hendrix made sure people would remember his name by challenging for the top championship right off the bat. In doing this shows his confidence, but will his actions be able to back up his words?

Last week on NXT we also saw an interesting interaction between new NXT star Naraku and Tony D’Angelo. D’Angelo was assuming that Naraku wants a championship match like everyone else on the roster, but Naraku surprised everyone when he said he will fight to keep D’Angelo champion because it is their “destiny to go to war”.

Are these mind games by Naraku or does he really want D’Angelo to remain champion? What does he mean by they will go to war together? Will Naraku get involved in Kam Hendrix’ championship match next week?
