The WWE King of the Ring 2026 tournament has been a massive success, bringing together WWE’s best to compete in this gauntlet to crown a number one contender for either the Undisputed WWE or World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2026. One slot has already been filled, with Oba Femi securing his ticket to Night of Champions. On the latest edition of WWE SmackDown, the man he’ll face boiled down to Jey Uso and Je’Von Evans.
A former World Heavyweight Champion took on one of the best and brightest WWE has to offer, and they went all out in the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
WWE King of the Ring 2026 Finals a Lock for Night of Champions
It’s amazing how both men got to this point. Je’Von Evans slayed Talla Tonga, Ricky Saints, and the former multiple-time world champion and future Hall of Fame inductee Seth Rollins. For a hot minute now, Je’Von Evans has been dubbed the future of WWE and a no-doubt future world champion, and he continues to be brilliant, winning big-ticket matches in the face of his inexperience.

On the opposite end of the ring, Jey Uso made good use of his experience and practically snatched the victory from Royce Keys on last week’s SmackDown, when he pinned LA Knight after a devastating Uso Splash on both Knight and Keys. Jey seems like he has a renewed sense of purpose since The Bloodline reformed, and he’s not about to stop now in his quest to bring the Undisputed WWE Title back to the family.

In the last semifinals matchup of the WWE King of the Ring 2026 tournament, Jey and Je’Von took each other to the limit to secure a spot at Night of Champions.
In the climax of this match, Je’Von Evans hit the Red Dot, but Jey Uso wasn’t going away easily. To Je’Von’s credit, he was a hard put away tonight, but a Superkick, and a second Spear later, Jey Uso found himself on the top rope, diving towards a limp Je’Von Evans, hitting an Uso Splash.

Jey Uso may be making good on his promise to bring back the Undisputed WWE Title, as he now faces Oba Femi in the King of the Ring 2026 finals at Night of Champions. Whoever comes out of it unscathed will have a shot at their World Title of Choice this coming August at SummerSlam.
