WWE SmackDown Live Tonight Rundown (7/10/26) – What to Expect:
Once we thought it wasn’t possible, it will be reality this coming Friday night. It’s uncanny because a pair of close friends will find themselves across the ring from one another as opponents. Let’s begin with the current United States Champion Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes.
As the Trick Melo Gang in NXT, the two run roughshod over the brand until things go south for Melo and Trick. After their acclaimed feud in the White and Gold, both found themselves on two different but successful paths. Melo would become United States Champion after becoming a first-round draft pick for SmackDown. At the same time, Trick became a multiple-time NXT Champion, as well as capturing the TNA World Championship.
As both are now on the SmackDown brand, they still can’t shake off one another, as Trick is holding the prize Melo has coveted since winning it at the tail end of 2025. Despite being a non-title match, we expect Carmelo Hayes to bring it to Trick Williams this Friday night, possibly earning a shot at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, or maybe even better, as the “Biggest Party of the Summer,” SummerSlam.
From one pairing to another, The Bullet Club reigned supreme over Japan with Finn Balor and Tama Tonga heading the onslaught. This Friday, Tama looks to “atone” for his past mistakes and take out the very man that took him in and made him elite. What’s so amazing about this match is that Finn Balor and Tama Tonga have never faced off against one another in a singles match, often finding themselves teaming up.
So, the WWE Universe will not only see a Bullet Club war but a first-time dream match as these two settle their differences.
We also have the AAA World Tag Team Champions looking to further their dominance against the WWE Tag Team Champions, R-Truth and Damian Priest, as both titles will be on the line. Priest and Truth have been dominant in their 5 months as a team, becoming champions in the process. That said, they have their work cut out for them as they take on the War Raiders, who have won championships all over the world for over a decade.
Erik and Ivar are probably the worst-kept secret of the tag team world in professional wrestling, and Priest and Truth may find themselves as casualties of war once it’s all said and done.
Finally, after his huge return to WWE in Chicago, Illinois, CM Punk, the #AndNEW Undisputed WWE Champion, will more than likely be in Oklahoma, considering he is now the head honcho of the Blue brand. Expect Sami Zayn to be there as well, after his heartbreaking loss last Monday Night on Raw.
