WWE WrestleMania 42 Night Two Results (4/19/26)

  • Breaking News: Cody Rhodes is not medically cleared after his injury. There’s no timetable for his return.
  • Breaking News: Adam Pearce revealed in a backstage segment on the pre-show that the Demon Finn Balor vs. Dominik Mysterio match is now a Street Fight.
  • The reported match order for night two has been revealed. Femi vs. Lesnar should open the show, followed by the 6-Man Ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship. The United States Championship match will continue the show. Balor vs Mysterio will be the 4th match, followed by Jade Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley. CM Punk and Roman Reigns will main event the show.
  • Joe Jonas will sing the National Anthem.
  • When 90% of the wrestlers at Mania usually come from NXT, this year, there are only 27 out of 40. So, less than 70%, which can be explained by the presence of many “veterans,” like Brock Lesnar, The Bella Twins, or CM Punk. Others also came straight into the main roster, like Penta, Jade Cargill, or Jacob Fatu.
  • Roman Reigns told Michael Cole that if he wins, he will reset the standards in WWE. If he loses against CM Punk, he doesn’t belong to WWE anymore. His work would be done.

The Show

  • It’s midnight in France. The French Nygma is with you for WrestleMania 42 Night Two.
  • Here comes John Cena. He can feel the energy for an historic Night Two. It’s a first on ESPN in the USA, but also on Netflix for many countries worldwide.

Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi

  • Did you know? Brock Lesnar is 21 years older than Femi.
  • Here comes Oba Femi. The crowd is yelling, “Oba,” and “walking” like him. A few months ago, he was NXT Champion, and now he is on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Paul Heyman is following The Beast Incarnate, Brock Lesnar. Michael Cole says Lesnar is the underdog in this match. My biggest question is: Will the ring collapse?
  • Elbow tie-up to start. Another, but both men resist. Lesnar sends Femi into the corner, but Femi pushes him back. Lesnar’s clotheslines do nothing on Femi when Lesnar falls after one from Femi. Lesnar grabs the steel steps and throws him. Femi’s spine eats the ringpost not once but twice, and now the ring steps. Suplex City opened its doors twice. And a third German suplex follows. Femi fires back and counters the fourth. F-5 to FEMI! NOW CHOKESLAM BY FEMI! FALL FROM GRACE! FEMI WON! The way he lifted Lesnar looked so easy. The future is ultra-bright for Oba Femi. Paul Heyman was in complete shock.
  • It lasted maybe 3, 4 minutes… I wanted more from both. Lesnar looks decimated in the ring. He tries to regroup as the crowd says, “Thank You, Lesnar.” HE LEAVES HIS GLOVES AND BOOTS TO THE RING!!!!!  Lesnar is crying.

  • It’s over. Brock Lesnar has officially retired. He looks at Paul Heyman and hugs him. HUGE SURPRISE. Brock Lesnar waves goodbye to the crowd. Thank you, Brock Lesnar.
  • He is thanking the fans; he has a huge smile on his face. On a personal level, I saw his debut in 2000 or so, and now I see him retire. That’s when you realize there’s a reason why you’re 46.

6-Man Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship: Penta (c) vs. JD McDonagh vs. Dragon Lee vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Rusev

  • JD McDonagh, Dragon Lee, and Rusev are already in the ring. Here comes an all-red Rey Mysterio. Je’Von Evans bounces his way to the ring. Penta, one of my favorite wrestlers, the Lucha Underground legend, has a “death” helmet. It starts fast. Penta hits a crossbody on Rusev. The 3 all-red Luchadores are taking care of JD McDonagh. Rusev saves Mysterio from Dragon Lee and Penta. Rusev eats some ladders. EVANS FLIES ON MC DONAGH.
  • Dragon Lee hits a hurricanrana on McDonagh. Mysterio sends Dragon Lee into the ropes for a 619, missed. Mysterio eats a Superkick. Rusev smashes bodies with the ladders. It’s McDonagh vs Rusev now. Rusev sends him spine-first into a ladder. Rusev climbs, Penta follows. Je’Von Evans climbs, Penta stops him. McDonagh climbs, Evans climbs, but McDonagh makes him fall. OLYMPIC CLOTHESLINE ON MCDONAGH ON TOP OF THE LADDER. 619 on Dragon Lee into a ladder.
  • Mysterio is cut short by Evans. Penta calms both with superkicks. Evans eats a ladder spine-first. Dragon Lee seems to be alone; he climbs, but Rusev stops him. Rusev takes more time to climb. Evans attacks, but Rusev sends him into a ladder. Penta rushes to stop Rusev. Mysterio follows him. Penta attacks Mysterio. He sends Mysterio onto Rusev on a ladder. Fantastic match.
  • Mysterio climbs. Penta puts him on his shoulders. Mysterio counters Penta, 619. Mysterio climbs, Dragon Lee too. Fight on top. Lee falls. Mysterio is still up. STYLES CLASH FROM LEE. Lee climbs now, McDonagh follows. SPANISH FLY. McDonagh climbs, Penta follows. NO. FROM A LADDER TO A LADDER, MEXICAN DESTROYER ON MCDONAGH BY PENTA.
  • Evans has a chance. HE GETS IT. RUSEV HAS THE LADDER. Evans falls. Rusev tries to climb. Evans is back. OG CUTTER ON RUSEV FROM THE TOP ROPE. Mexican Destroyer on Evans. Penta is fab, but his leg seems injured. He climbs and RETAINS.
  • Fabulous match, but strange end. It felt like Evans would win, but Penta retained. These 2 have fabulous matches to come, for sure. Penta poses from the top of the ladder.

  • Time to go to the ESPN app for the US. I stay on Netflix.
