AEW Dynasty 2026 Preview (4/12/26) – Card, Time, How to Watch

AEW Dynasty 2026 might be one of AEW’s youngest PPVs, but its history is already rich and influential. From the coronation of Swerve Strickland to Kenny Omega, reasserting his singles GOAT status. Last year, FTR turned on Adam Copeland. A year on, Cage and Cope look to end The Living Legend’s incredible third AEW World Tag Team Championship reign.

Besides settling scores, new directions will be set. When Andrade El Idolo takes on Darby Allin, we know from past encounters that this pair has chemistry. However, there is a void in Darby Allin’s character. If the daredevil is to challenge for the AEW World Championship, the underdog needs to address it. Plus, with a casino gauntlet match to crown a new TNT Champion, can AEW’s version of the Royal Rumble outdo itself?

AEW Continental Championship: It’s Personal

When Will Ospreay returned at Revolution, the Aerial Assassin had one target. Jon Moxley put Ospreay out of commission at Forbidden Door 2025, in front of his home crowd. Unlike other hit-jobs, where the Death Riders took out opponents with the chair, Moxley, rather than Claudio Castagnoli, was the executor. Moxley made it personal.

Now, after weeks of chasing and post-match assaults, Ospreay tests his double-fused neck against a man with no qualms about re-breaking it. Like AEW Revolution, there will be no time limits, favouring Moxley.

Even with the Death Riders banned from ringside, does this level the playing field? Putting the  AEW Continental Championship on the line, the belt that saved Moxley, who will this incentivise more?

The GOAT vs. The Devil

Will Ospreay returned at Revolution with one target in his crosshairs. When MJF and Kenny Omega clash for the second time, it will be hard not to listen to the metaphorical ticking clock. MJF is a scumbag, but the Salt of the Earth understands Omega’s mindset and fragility. When they last clashed, Omega was impaired. Since then, despite everything, everyone knows Omega is not the same GOAT.

Diverticulitis took more from Omega than part of his intestines. Sporadic runs, the feeling that The Cleaner is on borrowed time, has been a thought few fans want to acknowledge. This could be Omega’s last shot at the AEW World Championship. Knowing the mind of the Devil, he might be able to do what Kyle Fletcher and Swerve Strickland failed to do.

Take Omega out for good. Like Jon Moxley, MJF has no conscience. When it comes to protecting his Triple B, MJF will do whatever it takes. Unlike his first AEW World Championship reign, MJF is more secure in himself.

But with the odds against him, it sets up a perfect story of triumph over adversity. Omega has never called himself the God of Pro Wrestling. The fans did. On Sunday, can Omega prove himself to be God-like?
