Keanu Carver has had an impactful first couple of months in NXT. Bursting onto WWE programming on Evolve and WWE LFG, he has shown his power and strength on numerous occasions. Unfortunately, he has gotten into it more than once with Booker T. The March 17, 2026, episode of NXT was labeled as Booker T Appreciation Night. It was in his hometown of Houston, Texas, and it was a thank you for everything he’s done for NXT. As he was giving his speech, Carver came out and tried to attack him.
But Jasper Troy was able to protect him before anything bad happened. Carver went to NXT General Manager Robert Stone and demanded a match, which was granted. Was it going to be an easy victory for Carver, or would Troy’s determination get him the win?
Carver Gets a Huge Victory Against Troy
Even though Carver has lots of accomplishments, Troy shouldn’t be overlooked. He won the very first season of WWE LFG, beating Carver and many others. In addition, he had a run as WWE Speed Champion. Both men have done a lot in a short time. But this match was special for a reason. After a partnership and breakup with Yoshiki Inamura last summer, Josh Briggs has struggled to find his footing in NXT.
Stone told him that he could be the special guest referee for the match since no one wanted to do it. However, he had his hands full immediately. As Troy entered the ring, Carver pushed him down and into the turnbuckle and steel steps.
As they pulled on Troy’s chains that he wears to the ring, he clotheslined Carver before slamming him to the mat. The bell finally rang, with the two men locking up. Troy tried to lift Carver, but the latter got out of the hold and started throwing punches. He got Troy in the corner, then began stomping on him, causing an argument with Briggs.
He got out of the ring and continued to antagonize Booker T. Troy. Then, Troy came up to him and chokeslammed him through the announcer’s table. He got him in the ring and hit him with the Abyss, but couldn’t get the pinfall.
Immediately, he complained to Briggs about the count. After some shoving, Briggs kicked him down, allowing Carver to hit him with the powerslam for the victory. But things weren’t done in the ring, as after he raised Carver’s hand, Briggs clotheslined him to the floor. Afterward, Stone confirmed a triple threat match next week between the three men. It seems like their story with each other is far from over.
