WWE SmackDown Spoilers & Results (1/30/26):

  • The two-time winner of the Men’s Royal Rumble kicks us off in Riyadh as the “American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, all fired up, speaks to the WWE Universe. Rhodes immediately got to business, saying he did what he had to against Jacob Fatu last Saturday night, which was prematurely ended by the Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, who Rhodes feels only likes the status but can’t handle the responsibilities that come along with it. Cody would turn his attention to the Royal Rumble, saying he can do something unprecedented and become a three-time winner, and he has the advantage going into this match. Rhodes even threw a little jab at WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk, essentially warning him that “they need to do this sometime.” Before Rhodes could continue, “The Viper” Randy Orton would enter the building.
  • Orton would lead off by saying he and Cody are friends, more like brothers, and he knew what the Undisputed WWE Title meant to him, and Randy knows Cody is hellbent on regaining it. However, there’s no one more dangerous than a “Viper chasing his 15th world title.” He won’t hesitate to throw anyone, including Cody, out of the Rumble to do that, reiterating they won’t be friends or brothers come Saturday, and he’s not the only one who’s won the Rumble twice. One-half of the World Tag Team Champions, Jey Uso, would pump up the crowd, YEET-ing all the way and in and around the ring. Jey would rundown his achievements, including his Rumble win last year, and how he’s going to do it one more time.
  • The number one contender, Sami Zayn, would join the party to a thunderous ovation. Zayn stated his plans, saying he’s going to end the 11-match losing drought against Drew McIntyre and become the Undisputed WWE Champion. History is on his side as he’s never lost a match in Saudi Arabia, and if any of the men in the ring will challenge anyone, it will be him. Paul Heyman and The Vision would immediately crash proceedings, saying there’s no “vision” from anyone in the ring, because they should’ve envisioned that it would be Bron Breakker’s night come the Royal Rumble. Orton would tell Heyman to shove it and to bring his boys for a “good ol’ fashioned Saudi Arabian fight.” SmackDown GM Nick Aldis then sanctioned a mini Royal Rumble preview as he sanctioned an 8-Man Tag Team for tonight.
  • Coming up next, United States Champion Carmelo Hayes defends the title in a “U.S. Open Challenge.” A worthy adversary steps up to the plate as the Luchador sensation Rey Fenix challenges Melo for the gold in Saudi Arabia. Fenix was on fire tonight, rocking Hayes early on with his high-flying offense. For most of the match, both men would go tit-for-tat, with Fenix edging out Hayes in spurts due to his relentless style. Unfortunately for Fenix, his overzealousness might have cost him. Fenix slipped up, and before he knew it, he was eating a First 48. Still reeling, Melo would scale the ropes and finish off Fenix with a Nothing but Net to retain the U.S. Title.
  • Backstage, we see Ilja Dragunov, who watched the match unfold as The Miz would enter the scene. Dragunov looked ticked off, but Miz would extend his hand and formally introduce himself, saying it wasn’t personal but business with Carmelo. Dragunov would take the handshake, crushing Miz’s hand and informing him that tonight, when they go one-on-one, his “pain will entertain.”
  • Back from the break, R-Truth is with SmackDown GM Nick Aldis, helping draw their numbers for the Royal Rumble. Damian Priest would join them, thanking Aldis for allowing him to join the Men’s Rumble after his loss at SNME. Priest would draw his number; unfortunately, it did not look good, with Priest having a less-than-favorable reaction on his face.
  • Cathy Kelley would catch up with Undisputed WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, asking him about his thoughts for tonight and tomorrow’s title match. McIntyre would state that he’ll be watching the main event closely tonight, specifically Sami Zayn, before warning him that he will do whatever it takes to retain his title come Saturday, essentially telling Zayn that he’ll crush his dreams once again.
  • WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions RHIYO would be asked about their thoughts regarding the Women’s Rumble, with Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY saying they’ve been opponents before and their friendship won’t come apart because of one match. Women’s U.S. Champion Giulia and Kiana James would make their presence felt, warning RHIYO of their impending win when the time comes, allowing Giulia to become a Triple Champion. Nia Jax and Lash Legend would stake their claim and say that they “got next” to whoever comes out of this title match on top.
  • Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss enter the Riyadh Season Stadium as they speak to the WWE Universe. Flair began proceedings by saying she’s going to win the Rumble with the help of Bliss, and she’s dedicating that win to her bestie. Bliss had the same plans, as she plans on making history again, being the first woman to have a match in the Middle-East, and she’s going to win the first Women’s Rumble held in Riyadh. The two would get into an argument before The Judgment Day, Roxanne Perez, Raquel Rodriguez, and Liv Morgan would stoke the fire. Morgan would say that “all three of them” will help each other win, putting up a united front. Flair would challenge them to get in the ring and put their money where their mouth was. Liv would walk to the ring, seemingly ready for a fight, before saying no, saying they have better things to do. Nick Aldis would say that if they come to SmackDown, they better come for a fight, saying two of them will face off against Bliss and Flair up next.
  • In a star-studded, impromptu tag match, Roxanne Perez and Liv Morgan take on Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. Perez and Morgan had a game plan tonight, isolating Bliss from Flair all match long. Bliss saw an opening and was able to tag Charlotte in, and the “Queen” would tear through the field, hitting everyone with Natural Selection. A bloodied Perez and Morgan would try to fend off the onslaught, with Raquel Rodriguez even interfering on their behalf, before Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer would even the odds. Distracted, Bliss would get a hold of Roxanne, hitting her with the Sister Abigail DDT for the win.
  • Backstage, we see Jorydnne Grace all pumped up for tomorrow’s Royal Rumble before WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill would blindside her, and the two got into a brawl that needed intervention from WWE officials.
  • A “show-stealer” is up next as Axiom goes toe-to-toe with Johnny Gargano. Before Johnny Wrestling could come out, Nick Aldis told him that Candice LeRae would be banned from ringside and, if Axiom wins, he would get his stolen mask back. The match was back and forth throughout, with neither man getting the advantage. Gargano would create an advantage, removing Axiom’s mask once again. Axiom would think on his feet, put on the stolen mask, and hit Gargano with the Golden Ratio to settle the score once and for all.
  • We hear from AJ Styles, ahead of his Career-Threatening Match against Gunther at the Royal Rumble. AJ put the WWE Universe’s mind at ease, saying he’ll come out of the bout with Gunther on top, kicking off the “Phenomenal Farewell Tour,” where he wants to do it one more time with the likes of Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and CM Punk. Gunther would come out from the crowd, telling Styles that the “Phenomenal One” knows he has doubts and that he made a mistake, and there will be no more tour once he ends his career tomorrow, much like he did with John Cena. Styles would fire back, saying Gunther tapped out “like a little b*tch,” and he’ll be falling tomorrow at the Royal Rumble. The two were prepping for a fight before Gunther would run off, preserving his well-being for tomorrow.
  • The Miz is in for a fight as he faces off against an intensely ticked off “Mad Dragon,” Ilja Dragunov. What many thought would be an obliteration turned out to be a heck of a matchup. Miz used his experience to keep Dragunov in tow, even kicking out of a Constantine Special and countering an H-Bomb attempt into a DDT. Unfortunately, luck ran out for The Miz. The “A-Lister” would come off the top rope only to get by a Torpedo Moscow in mid-air, followed up by an H-Bomb, allowing Dragunov to pick up the win in this very competitive match.
  • To end this action-filled night, it’ll be a blockbuster 8-Man Tag Match pitting The Vision against Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, and Sami Zayn. It was pandemonium for most of the match, and as the end approached, Sami Zayn was once again primed to be the hero. Of course, Drew McIntyre would not let that happen, interfering in the match and ruining the main event. Jacob Fatu would come right after this incident, leveling McIntyre and Rhodes. Zayn was in the ring, alone, with the Undisputed WWE champions. Gazing at it, Zayn wanted to hoist it, but was stopped by the “American Nightmare” himself, ending this night in a very interesting fashion.

That’s all for REAL-TIME WWE SmackDown results for January 30, 2026, as they happened live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
