WWE Raw Results from WWE Raw Tonight (1/12/26)
Who’s ready for an afternoon of graps? WWE Raw airs live today at 2 PM ET as the company continues its Road to Royal Rumble tour through Europe. Tonight’s stop is Düsseldorf, Germany, home to the Altstadt, aka the “Longest Bar in the World.” In actuality, it’s not one giant bar but an area that packs close to 260 pubs, breweries, and restaurants all together.
WWE opened the show with a huge pyro display before, as advertised, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky kicked us off. Ripley and Sky, affectionately known as Rhiyo, didn’t have much time to bask in their new titles, however, as they were interrupted by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez and then Bayley and Lyra Valkyria. Both duos wanted their shot at the prize, and it was announced that later in the show, there would be a triple threat #1 contender’s match.

Finn Balor Wants Next
CM Punk said he’s never going to get tired of being the world champion, and as outlandish as it sounds, he wants to be champion forever. Anything can happen on the long road to WrestleMania, just ask Cody Rhodes. Punk feels like, with the fans having his back, he can do the impossible. Punk said he was going to be a fighting champion, and with the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber, there are two opportunities for people to call their shots. The road to WrestleMania goes through him. He just survived a battle last week with Bron Breakker, which means the Vision is in his rearview mirror. He’s looking forward to seeing who his next challenger is going to be…Enter Finn Balor, newly energized by Liv Morgan telling him to go win some gold of his own.
Balor enters the ring and circles Punk. He says he’s not waiting for the rumble or the chamber. He’s not asking for a handout, but when Punk won, he named Balor as someone he wanted to face. So, here he was. Punk said Balor was right; he did mention his name alongside a bunch of talented individuals, but that was two months ago. Punk calls out Balor’s ambition, saying some weeks it feels like he’s just shining Morgan’s shoes. Punk thinks Balor is there to pick the bones, but he needs to know one thing: is he going to be wrestling Finn Balor or Finn Balor and the Judgment Day because he just did the numbers game. Punk said he’s a man of his word, and he’s a fan of Finn Balor. He’s going to go in the back, and they are going to have a title match tonight! Not so fast, says Balor. He’s been around long enough to know that timing is everything. He’s not jumping the line. Anyone who’s watched his career knows the line starts with him. Punk won’t have to worry about Dom or JD, but he won’t be alone. Balor says he’s watched Punk’s career. Time and time again, he’s watched him take advantage of homefield advantage in Chicago, so no, he wants to do this next week in his hometown in Belfast, Ireland. Punk apologized to the fans in Düsseldorf for not getting a title match tonight and then apologized to the fans in Belfast who would have to watch their countryman go to sleep.
#1 contendership for WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez are the #1 contenders for the women’s tag team championships, and they’ll get their match on the first Saturday Night’s Main Event of 2026.
Backstage, Maxxine Dupri responded to a pre-recorded video from Becky Lynch that aired before the commercial break. Dupri said she became champion because she finally believed in herself, and she knows Otis and Akira Tozawa can do the same. Dupri says, as for next week, she knew how great Lynch was, but she had to cheat to beat her. So next week, she was going to put her in an ankle lock and break it.
Michael Cole was ringside with Raquel Rodriguez, asking about last week. Cole said the ambush took him by complete surprise and wonders why she did it. Rodriguez says she was the girl who smiled and waited patiently, but she was done doing that. She has been cheated out of her title opportunities, so she doesn’t feel sorry for Stephanie Vaquer. She won’t stop until she gets her one-on-one in the ring. When she becomes champ, that’s what people can feel sorry for Vaquer…Vaquer makes her way out, surrounded by security, as it was announced that she has an injured ankle. Vaquer says it won’t stop her and invites Rodriguez to come get it. So she does, blindsiding Vaquer and again attacking the injured ankle. Security chases Rodriguez to the back as Vaquer writhes in pain.
Alpha Academy runs into Jey Uso backstage and asks for their shot. Uso says they are boys, so he doesn’t want to give them the smoke. Otis tells him he’s serious, and Uso acknowledges that. He says he’s gonna talk to Jimmy and get back to them, but he needed to let them know, this is a warning shot. If they get their match, they are stepping foot in the ring with the best tag team of all time.
Penta/Dragon Lee defeats the Vision (Bronson Reed/Austin Theory): Bron Breakker takes out Dragon Lee and Penta to earn the DQ victory. Adam Pearce confronted Breakker to say he warned Paul Heyman, not tonight. During that confrontation, Bronson Reed and Logan Paul take advantage of the distraction to hit Penta with a Tsunami. As Pearce confronts Reed, Breakker lands a spear on Lee. Pearce grabs Breakker, but then Breakker assaults the GM and asks what he is going to do. Pearce is incensed as he kicks the Vision out of the arena. Pearce personally escorts the group out as Paul warns that Breakker is going to kill him, and Heyman tells Pearce to be professional.
Penta and Lee were recovering in medical when Je’Von Evans came over to check on them. Cameras then followed Breakker, leaving as Pearce followed him and yelled at him. He told Breakker you don’t put your hands on the boss. He’s suspended indefinitely. Heyman says it was a big mistake, and Pearce says Breakker made the mistake putting his hands on him. Heyman said from his vantage point, Pearce put his hands on Breakker first. And well, he’s not wrong.
Main Event: Gunther vs AJ Styles
Gunther is backstage with Jackie Redmond and says it was disrespectful of Styles to slap him since he’s the greatest wrestler in the company and the man who made John Cena tap out. Gunther says if he were capable of doing that to the so-called greatest of all-time, Styles should worry about what’s going to happen to him tonight.
Styles and Gunther look to lock up, but Styles kicks Gunther in the leg before they both come back to the center of the ring. Styles with another kick to send Gunther out of the ring to regroup. Another lock-up before more kicks from Styles. Gunther once again leaves the ring and walks around before coming back to the center. Finally, he gets Styles down with a side headlock. But again, Styles with another kick to the hamstring and one to the head. Gunther again has to roll out to regroup, but Styles follows this time with a forearm off the top rope. He rolls in to break the count, but it’s a mistake because as he comes back to the outside, Gunther is waiting and slams Styles into the apron. Styles manages to recover with more attacks on Gunther’s lower body. Back in the ring, Styles with more kicks before Gunther catches one and hits a massive clothesline. Styles defends the chop and bestows some of his own before Gunther throws him into the ringpost and finally lands a chop that sends Styles flying to the outside.
An anticlimactic end as Styles thinks Gunther tapped and releases the Calf Crusher. The referee didn’t see the tap and argued with Styles. The ref called for the match to continue, allowing Gunther a chance to lowblow Styles and then drop him for the 1-2-3. Further footage showed Gunther did indeed tap.
