WWE NXT Match Graphic of Thea Hal vs Blake Monroe for the NXT Women's Championship

NXT Preview (1/6/26) – New Year’s Evil 2026

NXT will be ringing in the new year at NXT New Year’s Evil on January 6th. Championships will be on the line, and scores will be settled. It is the first NXT event of the year, and it will set the tone for who will be at the top of their division.

Stars such as Oba Femi, Jacy Jayne, Leon Slater, Blake Monroe, and more will be competing on Tuesday. The card is stacked, so here are a few things to expect going into next week.

But first, who do you think will be walking out of NXT New Year’s Evil with their head held high? What do you want to see for them next in the new year?

Revenge on The Culling

Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame will finally face off in a singles match at New Year’s Evil. Their rivalry dates back to NXT Gold Rush when Izzi Dame cost Tatum Paxley the NXT Women’s Championship.

The Culling had recruited Paxley back in July and fought alongside her ever since. What was it that changed? What set Izzi Dame off to make her turn on Paxley?

Dame felt responsible for Tatum Paxley’s success. When Paxley made her own decisions without consulting the Culling, it angered them. They viewed that as selfish and ignoring their guidance. Dame took it upon herself and “corrected a mistake” by getting Paxley out of the Culling and costing her the NXT Women’s Championship.

Will Paxley be able to get her revenge next Tuesday?

Was It a Fluke?

When Thea Hail won the Women’s NXT North American Championship, it created quite the controversy. Various sources have said that her win was a fluke, but will she be able to prove everyone wrong this Tuesday?

Blake Monroe will be challenging Thea Hail in a rematch for the North American Championship. This is Hail’s chance to prove to everyone that it wasn’t a fluke that happened. This is her chance to prove that she is a champion.

Thea Hail has never held a championship in NXT until now. Will the nerves get to her, or will she thrive? Do you think Hail can knock off the glamorous, Blake Monroe? Or will Monroe become a 2x Women’s North American Champion?
