Chris Jericho Addresses Wrestling Future as WWE Return Rumors Grow

With news of a possible WWE return heating up, Chris Jericho has already started giving his take on the current debate surrounding his career in wrestling. His AEW contract expires allegedly at the end of this year, which means that Jericho will become a free agent in 2026 unless he renews his contract.

Jericho and the leaders of AEW have not yet stated whether he will remain with the company or go another way, though they have expressed hope that they will see him back in their ring.

Chris Jericho Affirms That He is Not Done with Wrestling

In his most recent appearance on one of the radio shows, Chris Jericho made it clear that his in-ring career is not over. He said that he has yet to decide his next course of action and plans to be back in 2026. His words meant that fans will expect at least another book in his long and successful wrestling career.

WWE Reunion: Real or Imaginary?

It is too early to decide whether Jericho can rejoin WWE, but there have been a number of signs that have aroused speculation. Chris Jericho has not featured in the AEW programming since the April 9 episode of Dynamite, and recent reports indicate that WWE made an offer that included a retirement storyline. The reason is that, alongside his long history with WWE, these developments indicate a high-profile return.

Since the beginning of AEW back in 2019, Chris Jericho has been continuously active in the following promotion after he left the WWE in 2018 due to his involvement in the Greatest Royal Rumble event. What fans are asking is whether he will still contribute to AEW like he has been involved in coming up with the early identity of the brand, or is this the place where he will end his career, where some of his best moments occurred?
