We may be on the road to Final Resolution; it’s Thanksgiving this Thursday. For TNA Wrestling, Thanksgiving means the Turkey Suit and the Turkey Trot. So, no “true” episode this week, but a moment to celebrate Thanksgiving in a way only TNA can.
Last night at NXT Gold Rush – Night Two, Léi Ying Lee made a miracle only an Angel Warrior could. She brought the TNA Knockouts title back home in a marvel of a match against Kelani Jordan and Jordynne Grace. What she has accomplished since her re-signing is incredible. Also, John Cena picked the Iron Survivor Challenge participants at NXT Deadline, and he chose two TNA talents, Leon Slater and Joe Hendry.
Crossing the lines also means crossing the reviews. Taking a look at what happens on NXT on Tuesday nights has become essential to understanding what may happen on Thursday nights. That’s never been truer, and it keeps on being bigger and bigger.
The Stakes at TNA Wrestling & The Nygma’s View
“A beloved TNA tradition returns this Thursday. Ryan Nemeth, Brian Myers, Mance Warner, Trey Miguel, Eric Young, and The Home Town Man collide in the chaotic Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl, where the loser must wear the infamous turkey suit.”
In France, we have the kindness to wait till Christmas to eat turkeys. On TNA Wrestling, we save a turkey suit for the loser of a match. Sometimes, the poor man had to dance the Turkey Trot. Usually, wearing the suit is enough to make him look stupid. So Nygma says: Stupid = Ryan Nemeth.
AJ Styles was the very first to wear the suit in 2007. Alex Shelley, Robbie T, Jessie Godderz, the duo of Dewey Barnes and Norv Fernum, Robbie E (aka Robert Stone), Eli Drake (aka LA Knight), Glenn Gilbertti (aka Disco Inferno), Jai Vidal, and Brian Myers also all had that chance. Every year, the match is different (5 vs 5, tournament, six-way, etc.), but the punishment is the same.
