Thea Hail Wins Big Against Alba Fyre on 11/11 WWE NXT

For the past couple of months, Alba Fyre, Chelsea Green, and Ethan Page have made quite a trio. They have been entertaining while being very successful in the ring. Green and Page became the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champions at Alianzas on November 2. To recognize their victory, they held a celebration on the November 4 episode of WWE NXT.

It was ruined due to the three thinking Joe Hendry was in the giant cake in the ring. Unfortunately for them, he was outside the ring, and Thea Hail was inside the cake. Declaring a want for the championships, the match was made for Night 1 of Gold Rush. The November 11 episode of NXT saw Hail take on Fyre. Would she give the momentum to her and Hendry ahead of next week’s match?

Hail Defeats Fyre Despite Numbers Game Disadvantage

The match between Hail and Fyre was made for one reason only. Green and Page wanted to make things easier for themselves heading into next week. If Fyre wrestled, that meant that they would be one hundred percent ahead of their title retention next week. Hail, fighting the week before, could tire her out, making it easier for them to retain their championships.

Both of them used logic and smart thinking by enlisting Fyre in the fight. But would their plan backfire, leading to a loss? This match saw both women use their athleticism to their advantage. Various pinfall attempts couldn’t keep either of them down. It was going to take something drastic to happen in order to get a pinfall.

Luckily for the two women, something happened on the outside that changed the outcome of the match. Hendry, Green, and Page were all on the outside, cheering the women on. Page went up on the apron, attempting to interfere in the match. Hendry didn’t like that at all. He went over to him and threw him onto the steel steps. Green was going to slap Hendry for what he did, but slapped Page instead. Hail leapt onto Green, sending her to the ground. Going back into the ring led to a superkick from Fyre and a kickout.

Fyre locked arms back to back with Hail, but the latter reversed the move. She got the referee’s three-count and the pinfall victory. For her and Hendry, they have renewed momentum going into their title fight. Green, Page, and Fyre had the numbers advantage, but Hendry’s quick thinking led to their downfall. Things are looking up for Hail and Hendry, which could lead to great things in their title match next week at Gold Rush.
