Since the beginning of the WWE/TNA partnership and the announcement of WWE acquiring a 51% stake in Lucha Libre AAA, AAA TripleMania Regia has been the first AAA event to welcome both TNA and WWE wrestlers in Monterrey, MX. Last night, the TNA X-Division title was on the line, and the TNA World Tag Team Champions and a WWE team were involved in the AAA Tag Team Championship 4-Way match.

Major Title Change
The AAA World Tag Team Championship was up for grabs as Nueva Generación Dinamita defended against reigning TNA World Tag Team Champions The Nemeth Brothers, Los Garza, and the duo of Psycho Clown and Pagano.
The Nemeths didn’t become double champions, but WWE’s Berto and Garza made history as they captured the AAA World Tag Team Championship.
It’s not the first time a non-AAA team has become World Tag Team Champions. AEW’s The Lucha Bros, The Young Bucks, and FTR did it before. But Berto and Garza make history as the first WWE team to grab AAA belts.

TNA Involvement
The reigning X-Division Champion and leader of The System, Moose, defended his title against Joe Hendry, El Mesías, and Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in a blockbuster Four-Way Match.
Moose capitalized on an argument between El Mesias and El Hijo del Dr. Wagner Jr., with Mesias hitting a nutcracker on Wagner. Moose bent Wagner with a huge Spear for the win.
Moose will defend the TNA X-Division Championship at TNA Slammiversary against Leon Slater.

Announcement
WWE will be returning to Mexico City on July 26 and Monterrey, Mexico, on July 27 for 2 Super Shows, as announced this weekend. Talents set for the WWE live events include Penta, Rey Fénix, Rey Mysterio, and Dominik Mysterio. We could expect some NXT and AAA talents to be participating in the shows.
