5 Reasons To Watch WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event 39

It looks like WWE will be returning to the well on Saturday night for the foreseeable future. It isn’t a terrible idea for them to continue this trend, as each show has brought its own identity while still paying homage to the original Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Each show has brought something different to the table, and this weekend is no different. Four matches have their intrigue; that combined with the potential of a few surprises makes for a Saturday Night’s Main Event that everyone should be watching.

A Massive Blow-Off Inside The Steel Cage

Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre have been engaged in a surprisingly great feud. Its seeds were planted over a year ago, but it has gained steam since the Royal Rumble.

It has been an intense rivalry that has been filled with gimmick matches and big spots. A rivalry that should be getting a fantastic send-off come Saturday.

Every match these two men have had has been great, so no doubt the Steel Cage gimmick will follow suit. It is an aesthetically pleasing match, regardless of workers, and always contains a crowd-pleasing spot of two. Let’s hope that WWE allows some blood to work its way into the match, sell the intensity even more.

Also, this should be the blowoff between these two men. There shouldn’t be much doubt that professional pride will drive McIntyre and Priest to send this feud off the right way.

An Intriguing Match-Up For The WWE Champion

John Cena and R-Truth have, in some way or another, been intertwined for years now. Truth has made a large portion of his character mimic his childhood hero. It has been entertaining to see his parodies, and he has kept the soul of John Cena alive when the Leader of Cenation was absent from WWE.

We all felt sympathy towards R-Truth as he intervened on Cena’s behalf, but our hearts broke when the champ attacked Truth post-Backlash. It was a betrayal of the worst kind and seemed to spark a new sense of anger inside R-Truth. So much so that he has agreed to face Cena this Saturday in a match rife with possibilities.

Cena isn’t going to be losing the championship anytime soon, but this match isn’t for the title. It opens up the possibility that Truth could be sneaking away with the win. What a sight it would be, and what a pop it would produce.

It could be a turning point in everything.

Jey Uso and Logan Paul Steal The Show

The program between the World Champion and Logan Paul has been better than anyone could have predicted. Paul has been his usual heel self while Uso has shown us an edge that some didn’t think was there. They are both great workers and have a love for pulling off the big spot.

There shouldn’t be much doubt that this match will be a fun one to watch. Both employ a high-flying style, and the bright lights of Saturday Night are the best place to showcase these.

We should be looking for this match to get a bit screwy near the end. Gunther and Seth Rollins are waiting in the wings, and it would make sense for one or multiple people to be sticking their nose into the World Championship picture. It will be a great match with some crazy trimmings, well worth watching.

A Tag Team Match For The Ages

CM Punk, Sami Zayn, Seth Rollins, and Bron Breakker are set to put on a show Saturday night. To start with, all four men have worked very well together. There are issues between all four, and so many layers to the history between them.

Rollins and Breakker have been great as the overbearing heel duo, with Punk and Zayn playing their babyface roles to perfection. It has been a great build, and one that has us wanting more.

In the ring, this match should be fantastic. All four men can work, and their styles differ just enough to give us something new with each matchup. It is a feud that should continue, so expect a screwy finish to accompany this match as well.

Possible Returns for Saturday Night’s Main Event

There is the potential for some very interesting returns at Saturday Night’s Main Event. To begin with, the world is waiting for Roman Reigns to make his return to WWE.

We haven’t seen the Tribal Chief since his loss at Wrestlemania, and he has more than his fair share of issues to put to bed. It would be great to see him get himself involved in the tag team match and go after Mr. Paul Heyman.

Speaking of returns, when does anyone expect Cody Rhodes to come back? He has also been absent since WrestleMania and still has some things to resolve with John Cena. Seeing Cena lay a brutal post-match beatdown on R-Truth, only to be interrupted by Rhodes, would be a fantastic end.

There are also going to be nostalgia returns that will get a good pop. The past few shows WWE has brought out legends of Saturday Night’s past. They always get a great reaction, and it’s just fun to see those familiar faces again.

It’s a tradition that WWE should keep going.
