Zoey Stark Suffers Legitimate Injury During Money in the Bank Qualifying Match

Zoey Stark was involved in a women’s triple threat match for a qualifying spot in the Women’s Money in the Bank match when tragedy struck with an injury, causing the match to be turned into a singles match.

Zoey Stark was taking part in her first televised match in over a month, facing off against Rhea Ripley and the returning Kairi Sane, who had been out of action since December. During the match, Stark went for a missile dropkick from the top rope but she landed awkwardly. This all occurred during the match’s commercial break, causing immediate concern as it seemed unlikely this was a planned injury spot and rather a legitimate Zoey Stark injury. Those concerns were realized when Stark clutched her knee and screamed in pain before needing a doctor to help her to the back. On commentary, Michael Cole remarked there was fear that Zoey Stark had re-injured the knee that kept her out of action previously.

Cole said there would be updates on the Zoey Stark injury on WWE social media. For now, we wish her the best and for a speedy recovery.
