WWE SmackDown after WWE WrestleMania 41 saw a shocking moment unfold in front of the Texas crowd. For weeks, Zelina Vega has been disrespected and disregarded in her quest to become Women’s United States Champion. They said that her count-out win against Chelsea Green was a fluke, as well as her pinfall victory the night before WrestleMania 41.
Well, this week, Zelina Vega has put all those doubters in their place. On WWE SmackDown, Vega challenged Chelsea Green for the Women’s U.S. Title. All match, Zelina had her back against the wall, as the “Secret HERvice,” Alba Fyre. Piper Niven was in full-on protection mode of Chelsea Green, constantly giving Zelina the business whenever the ref had his back turned.
Unfortunately for them, they got caught and got ejected from the ringside. Chelsea Green would argue the ref’s decisions, getting distracted in the process. Zelina Vega would see a window of opportunity, and she took it. One Code Red later, Zelina Vega is WWE’s #AndNEW Women’s United States Champion.
This is Vega’s first singles title in WWE.
What did you think of Zelina Vega and her United States Championship win on WWE SmackDown?
