SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis Kicks Off Friday Night

Nick Aldis started the show by addressing Randy Orton’s actions last week on WWE SmackDown after informing him he no longer has a match for WrestleMania 41. Aldis invited “The Viper” out to the ring. Orton got straight to business; he demanded a match at WrestleMania 41. He said he didn’t care who it was, and he even suggested that Nick Aldis step back into the ring for one night only.

Randy Orton made it explicitly clear that he will do everything to ensure he has his 20th WrestleMania match in 2025. Before Aldis and Orton could go any further, Solo Sikoa, with Tama Tonga, taunted the future Hall-of-Famer about potentially not being able to compete at ‘Mania this year.

Things got physical fast. While Orton fought valiantly, he was overwhelmed. LA Knight would hit the ring for the save, and the two would clean house. After the beatdown, Knight issued a warning to Jacob Fatu and suggested a tag title match against Sikoa and Tonga, with “The Viper” by his side.

Aldis would agree to it immediately, making this match official for later tonight.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Number One Contender’s Gauntlet Match

The Gauntlet Match to crown the number one contenders for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 41 would be the first match-up on the card. With Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez at ringside, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria versus the Pure Fusion Collective kicked off proceedings.

Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark came out of the gates so hot. Unfortunately for them, their physical prowess was outmatched by Bayley and Valkyria’s in-ring technical skills. After stepping on Valkyria’s arm and looking for a stomp, Baszler was caught off-guard by Valkyria’s roll through the counter into a Jackknife cover.

Valkyria would pull all her weight on Shayna, managing to land the pin. Out comes the third team, Natalya and Maxxine Dupri. Natalya and Dupri had all the momentum in the world. However, Dupri’s inexperience would cost them the match. Trying to impress Natty, Maxxine would try to lock in the Sharpshooter, only to get rolled up by Bayley with a Small Package.

Exhausted but still fighting, Bayley and Valkyria had to go as Katana Chance and Kayden Carter stormed the ring, immediately executing their offense to overwhelm the first entrants. Karter and Chance would hit the Keg Stand, but Bayley would kick out. Kayden and Bayley would take it out of the ring, leaving Valkyria and Chance in the ring.

Chance would try to go for an acrobatic cover. Lyra would catch her, hoisting Katana up on her shoulders and executing the Nightwing for another win.

No rest for the wicked as Michin and B-FAB would enter the proceedings. It seemed like Valkyria and Bayley had reached the end of the road. But once again, Bayley’s experience would come through. B-FAB got caught, falling to the Rose Plant.

Finally, it’s the showdown between the first and last entrants. The “Secret HERVICE,” Alba Fyre and Piper Niven, would overwhelm Bayley and Lyra Valkyria right off the bat. Spectacularly and miraculously, Bayley and Lyra Valkyria would go wire-to-wire.

After a devastating combination offense finish, Valkyria and Bayley secure their WWE Women’s Tag Team Title Match at WrestleMania 41 opposite Morgan and Rodriguez.

Priest Confronts McIntyre

Next up for this round of WWE SmackDown results, Damian Priest came out storming into the ring and was quickly blindsided by Drew McIntyre. Drew would beat the daylights out of Priest and immediately got on the mic.

He said that he’s absolutely ready for their match at WrestleMania 41, saying Priest will regret ever messing with him while revealing that he’s at a hundred percent, removing the eye patch that hid his supposedly injured eye after coming into contact with the glass.

Priest would storm back into the ring, which was an absolute mistake. Drew McIntyre would once again beatdown Priest, delivering a devastating Future Shock DDT on the steel ring steps, rattling the cranium of his opponent at ‘Mania.

Rey Fenix vs. Berto

There were no surprises here because it was absolutely fantastic. Rey Fenix and Berto put on a heck of a clinic, essentially stealing the show. Berto and Fenix went toe-to-toe, move for move and risk for risk. Highlights include a Cockscrew Placha from Fenix, answering an amazing Spaceman Press from Berto.

We all saw Fenix execute an insane Top Rope Springboard Frankensteiner. The match concluded when Rey Fenix hoisted up Berto for the MMB, also known as the Mexican Muscle Buster, picking up the pinfall. It was a jaw-dropping display and was undoubtedly the match of the night.

Post-bout, Santos Escobar helped Berto up, instructing him to do something. In a great display of sportsmanship, Escobar and Berto showed their respect to Fenix, shaking his hand and giving him all the adulation that he deserved.

Zelina Vega vs. Chelsea Green

Chelsea Green was in shambles because Alba Fyre and Piper Niven couldn’t be by her side after their Gauntlet Match. All match, he kept screaming for the Secret HERVice to come out to support her, and that cost her. Outside the ring, Green would beat down Vega and then bring her back into the ring.

Green would scream at Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett to call Niven and Fyre out to the ring. While that was happening, the referee’s count was on nine. Unfortunately, Green did not realize it, and before she could enter the ring, the count had gone up to ten. By count-out, Zelina Vega defeated a livid Chelsea Green.

Cody Rhodes Returns to WWE SmackDown

Next, the Undisputed WWE Champion speaks to the WWE SmackDown Universe. Before Rhodes entered the ring, every design iteration of the WWE Title was displayed, showcasing the championship’s rich history. Immediately, Cody Rhodes lashed out at John Cena and the sentiments he spewed.

Rhodes essentially stated that whatever challenge or insult John Cena issues his way, he will overcome it. Regardless of what John Cena shows up at WrestleMania 41, Cody Rhodes said that the Undisputed WWE Championship will stay with him; it will stay with “us,” referring to the WWE Universe he holds so dear.

Tiffany Stratton vs. Roxanne Perez

Earlier in the night, “The Prodigy” Roxanne Perez waltzed into Nick Aldis’ office demanding a match against Tiffany Stratton, and the WWE Women’s Champion was more than happy to accept the challenge. So on the April 11th, 2025 edition of these WWE SmackDown results rundown, Stratton takes on Perez in a non-title blockbuster.

Despite her young age, Perez delivered a match that Tiffany Stratton more than bargained for. Roxanne Perez would dig deep into her bag of tricks. It wasn’t enough as Roxanne Perez would make a mistake that ended up costing her. Perez would slip up, leading to Stratton capitalizing on the error and hitting the Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the win.

No time to celebrate for Stratton as her WWE WrestleMania 41 challenger Charlotte Flair would assault her, leaving her bruised and beaten under the commentator’s desk as Wade Barrett and other WWE officials would try to calm down “The Queen.”

LA Knight & Randy Orton vs. Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga

To conclude the WWE SmackDown results for April 11th, 2025, we have a star-studded tag team main event between Randy Orton and LA Knight versus Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa. This match did not start slow at all. Randy Orton had voices in his head that night and immediately got to work.

Orton cleared house and delivered a Draping Spiked DDT to Solo Sikoa. Unfortunately, Tama Tonga would temporarily put an end to that hot streak, blindsiding “The Viper.” The match was physical from start to finish. Orton and Sikoa would take it outside, fighting into the backstage area.

LA Knight and Tama Tonga battled it out. Knight would land the killing blow with a BFT, securing the victory for his team. That said, LA Knight didn’t have much time to enjoy his win. His opponent for the U.S. Title at WrestleMania 41, Jacob Fatu, obliterated the “Megastar.

Three devastating Double Jump Moonsaults later, Fatu had all the momentum in the world heading into the biggest match of his career, hoisting up the United States Title, an outcome that’s extremely likely at WrestleMania 41.

That is all for the WWE SmackDown Results for April 11th, 2025.
