WWE NXT Results (4/1/25)

The April 1 edition of WWE NXT emanates from the Capitol Wrestling Center in Orlando, Florida. The WWE NXT results for this week can be found here when the show goes live at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT on the CW Network.

The road to Stand & Deliver during WrestleMania 41 continues this week. Last week, Stephanie Vaquer successfully defended both her championships. Things are getting more intense between Oba Femi, Trick Williams, and Je’Von Evans.

This week, only one match has been confirmed for the show, and it is a title match. Ricky Saints will challenge Shawn Spears for the NXT North American Championship. Will Saints be able to claim his first WWE championship on his first try?

Here is all that went down on the April 1 edition of NXT.

WWE NXT Results (4/1/25)

Stephanie Vaquer Makes A Huge Announcement

NXT Women’s Champion and NXT Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer kicked off the show. She was joined in the ring by NXT General Manager Ava. The two had quite the announcement.

Vaquer relinquished her NXT Women’s North American Championship. That title will be contested in a six-woman ladder match at NXT Stand & Deliver, and the qualifiers for that start this week. In return, Vaquer gets to pick her Stand & Deliver challenger for her NXT Women’s Championship.

Zaria vs. Lash Legend [NXT Women’s North American Championship Qualifier]

This was quite the feat of strength between Zaria and Lash Legend. Despite both having their tag team partners outside, it remained a clean contest. There were times when Legend dominated but Zaria ultimately came out on top, thus becoming the first qualifier for the NXT Women’s North American Championship six-woman ladder match.

Kelani Jordan and Roxanne Perez Chat Backstage

Kelani Jordan and Roxanne Perez were trying to chat up Ava for a spot in the Stand & Deliver ladder match. Ava then informed them that they would be actually fighting each other for that spot with a qualifier match of their own.

The D’Angelo Family’s Intel On Darkstate

The D’Angelo Family had another intense backstage meeting and, this time, their focus was Darkstate. They broke it down to each member of the group, and it appears The D’Angelo Family is going to keep a close eye on them.

Hank & Tank Get Tag Team Advice

Hank Walker & Tank Ledger got some tag team advice from SmackDown’s Pretty Deadly. The advice apparently included wearing Pretty Deadly’s signature ring gear tops. Hank & Tank soon got rid of this when their opponents for tonight, No Quarter Catch Crew’s Myles Borne and Tavion Heights, saw them.

Myles Borne & Tavion Heights vs. Hank & Tank

This match was chaos in every right way! No Quarter Catch Crew’s Myles Borne & Tavion Heights went up against Hank & Tank. At the end of it all, Borne and Heights picked up the victory, surely putting pressure on Ava to consider giving them a title shot.

Trick Williams Wants All The Smoke

Trick Williams headed to the ring, ready to call out NXT Champion Oba Femi. Instead, Je’Von Evans came out to address him. Soon, they were joined by Femi.

The three were going back and forth, belittling each other. Ava finally came out, and she confirmed that they will be in a triple threat for the NXT Championship at Stand & Deliver. Following their attacks on each other, Darkstate pounced and attacked all three members.

Backstage Chaos

Andre Chase is evaluated by the medical team and told that he has a cracked rib and needs to go home, which Uriah Connors and Kale Dixon volunteer to assist with. As they’re wheeling away, Parker and Grace are embroiled in a full-on battle backstage. NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer & Axiom got challenged by WWE Evolve tag team, Swipe Right, for next week – and they accepted.

Roxanne Perez vs. Kelani Jordan [NXT Women’s North American Championship Qualifying]

Roxanne Perez and Kelani Jordan both know what it takes to hold gold, and they look to get into champions ranks once more. Both Perez and Jordan showed off their dynamic nature, and it all came down to who could outmaneuver the other. Ultimately, Jordan was the better woman tonight, and she goes on to Stand & Deliver.

Ava’s Announcement

Backstage, Ava confirmed a major six-man tag team match for next week’s episode of NXT. Femi, Williams, and Evans will team up to take on three of Darkstate’s members. Will Darkstate manage to further drive fear into the hearts of NXT, or can Femi, Williams, and Evans find a way to co-exist for just one night?

Ricky Saints Interview

Ricky Saints had a backstage interview ahead of his title match against Shawn Spears. He is very determined to claim his first WWE championship.

Shawn Spears (c) vs. Ricky Saints [NXT North American Championship]

Shawn Spears, flanked by The Culling, made his way to the ring, confident that he would retain the NXT North American Championship. Ricky Saints managed to make good on his promise, and he claimed the title. Of course, he had to survive the efforts of the entire Culling clan first.

Spears’ reign ends at just 28 days, making it the sixth-shortest in the title’s lineage. For Saints, it was a short-lived celebration, as Ethan Page attacked him. Regardless, Saints overtakes Page as the fastest to claim an NXT Championship from debut.
