WWE Releases 2025: A Complete List

On February 7th, 2025, as WWE SmackDown was happening, multiple sources, such as Fightful Select, reported a couple of big names related to the 2025 WWE releases. These included former tag team champions, budding stars, and decade-long veterans. Unfortunately, that was only the first batch of talent that was being let go or not being renewed from their respective contracts.

On February 8th, 2025, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, another former two-time Raw Tag Team Champions, were released. The last time the WWE Universe saw these two in action was on the October 1st, 2024, edition of WWE NXT, in a losing effort against Hank and Tank.

They spent the majority of their second run in WWE, running with The O.C., with AJ Styles and “Michin” Mia Yim. This is the duo’s second release from the company in 5 years, getting let go during the pandemic in April of 2020.

Unfortunately, former tag champs Isla Dawn and Giovanni Vince were also let go of their contracts on the same day. Dawn is a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion with Alba Fyre, collectively known as The Unholy Union. She last competed on the February 7th, 2025, edition of WWE Speed in a number-one contender’s match, where Shotzi defeated her.

Giovanni Vinci, on the other hand, tried his hand at being a singles star after Gunther and Ludwig Kaiser exiled him from Imperium. Also known as Fabian Aichner, the former two-time NXT Tag Team Champion had his last official match in WWE on October 11th, 2024, where Sheamus defeated him on WWE Speed in the first round of the WWE Speed Title #1 Contenders Tournament.

As it currently stands, here are the names included in the latest 2025 WWE Releases:

  • Sonya Deville
  • Blair Davenport
  • Authors of Pain (AOP) (Akam & Rezar)
  • Paul Ellering
  • Cedric Alexander
  • Isla Dawn
  • Giovanni Vinci
  • Karl Anderson
  • Luke Gallows
