The WWE NXT YouTube Channel – WWE’s Newest Great Idea

If you are reading this, chances are that this is the first time you are hearing about a WWE NXT YouTube channel. That’s because WWE launched it Monday morning, adding over 50 videos of full matches, highlights, clips, and so much more.

A couple months ago, WWE launched a WWE Vault channel, which has been very successful. Dozens of classic matches and never-before-seen videos from decades ago are free for the public. It’s really been a great decision so far to make those things available to watch. Always looking to expand on their content availability, WWE has now launched a channel specifically for NXT, covering 12+ years of the black and yellow promotion. So far, they have uploaded full episodes and NXT TakeOvers for free, allowing fans to watch whenever and wherever they please. If the success of the WWE Vault is anything to go by, the WWE NXT YouTube channel will become very popular super quickly. In just one day, the channel already has over 6.5K subscribers.

The WWE NXT YouTube Channel Gives People a Break from Streaming Services

WWE officially launched on Netflix in January, with their events now streaming on the platform. However, some things are still on Peacock, as that deal doesn’t expire until next year. With the rising amount of streaming services, people have an abundance of things to watch. Almost too much so as the options are limitless. But they aren’t free and streaming fatigue is truly becoming a real thing. Now, watching things on YouTube is still streaming, but it’s much more open and at least for now, comes without a price tag. Through the WWE NXT YouTube channel and the WWE Vault (in addition to WWE’s standard channel), fans have access to important moments fully available on YouTube for free. WWE has done that on their other channels, giving people free access to paywalled content that required subscriptions to view in the past. The WWE NXT YouTube channel is more of the same, making people happy and saving them money.

The Channel Allows New Viewers to Get Familiar with the Wrestlers Now on Raw and SmackDown

If you are a new viewer watching Seth Rollins or Shinsuke Nakamura for the first time, you probably want to look up some highlights from early in their WWE career. Up until this week, you could find NXT stuff, but only in bits and pieces. The WWE NXT YouTube channel now has events in full, helping people discover their best moments in NXT. They’ve even included wrestlers not currently in WWE, allowing for more discovery if you’re new to wrestling as a whole. As the channel uploads more, people will see the evolution of NXT to where it is today. Even though NXT has changed several times, the brand has always allowed multiple wrestlers to have success on the main roster. The WWE NXT YouTube channel gives new fans an opportunity to see today’s stars make their first steps in NXT before they became who they are today.

WWE Has Made Yet Another Great Decision

If there’s one thing WWE does great, it’s definitely their social media presence. With tons of videos available to watch, their accounts are filled with hours of entertainment. Social media can be a definite drawback at times, but WWE is using it for good. With this new channel, people can reminisce and learn more about things that happened years ago in NXT. There are already dozens of hours of footage uploaded, which is incredible. With the channel uploading from the beginning of the brand, you get to see how things looked at the very start. The WWE NXT YouTube channel has established free viewing of some of the best content that the brand has ever produced. Doing so can give people a sense of nostalgia while also bringing in new viewers who are new to watching WWE and want to watch more.
