WrestleCinema: New Wrestling Movies Round-up for 2025

Here’s our WrestleCinema new wrestlingmovies round-up of all the latest pictures starring wrestlers and about wrestling.

Find out what movies Chris Jericho, Toni Storm, Naomi, Britt Baker and Dave Bautista appear in and how you can watch them. Enjoy the trailers for all these movies too.

WrestleCinema: 2025 New Movies

The Movie: Queen of the Ring

What: Emily Bett Rickards leads as Mildred Burke in this gritty depiction of life for a female grappler in the 1930s to 50s. Women were banned from wrestling in large parts of America. Queen of the Ring charts Burke’s journey from a single mother wrestling against men at carnivals to attempting to legalize the sport.

Who Else Is In It: From the look of the film, Toni Storm may have donated her “Timeless” wardrobe and curling irons to the cast. Storm plays Clara Mortensen and is a perfect pick for the role. Fellow AEW stars Britt Baker and Kamile also play Debbie Nichols and June Byers.

Charlotte Flair and Liv Morgan were said to have once been slated to play Baker and Storm’s roles. Former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion and Women’s Tag Team Champion Naomi does make the movie as Ethel Johnson.

Clint Eastwood’s daughter Francesca takes on the major role of Mae Young. Jim Cornette plays a crucial role as NWA founder Sam Muchnick.

When: Queen of the Ring hits theaters on March 7, 2025

The Movie: Dark Match

What: Chris Jericho follows up on his minor role in the 2024 horror hit Terrifier 3 with a major role in Dark Match. A wrestling company journeys to a remote US town for a decent-paying gig.

It turns out the show has been booked by the Devil-worshiping Jericho as The Prophet who demands they fight to the death so he can make human sacrifices to the dark lord. What plays out is the Saw movies but if set in a wrestling ring.

Who Else Is In It: Ayisha Issa plays Miss Behave who looks to have the best chance to derail Jericho’s dark plans. Walking Dead star, and Trevor from Grand Theft Auto V, Stephen Ogg plays aging wrestler Joe Lean.

Independent wrestler and occasional AEW competitor Mo Jabari plays Enigma Jones.

When: Dark Match is available to stream on Shudder and in select cinemas from January 31, 2025.

The Movie: The Last Showgirl

What: Pamela Anderson stars in this gripping tale of the not-so-glamourous life of an aging showgirl. Tipped by many to be Anderson’s greatest role and a late win in finally being accepted as a serious actor. Anderson plays Shelly whose life is turned upside down when the Las Vegas show she’s performed in for three decades closes.

Who Else Is In It: Obviously a wrestler, and obviously Dave Bautista. Bautista plays Eddie the Producer of canned Le Razzle Dazzle show.

Jamie Lee Curtis plays Shelly’s best friend, whilst Brenda Song and Red One baddy Kiernan Shipka also don rhinestones and feathers as showgirls.

Bautista has just In The Lost Lands and Afterburn set for release in 2025 which leads us to wonder if Batista vs. The Rock vs. John Cena is too much to ask for as a Hollywood megastar showdown in the Netflix Era.

When: The Last Showgirl is out now.

Which on these wrestling movies are you most excited to see in 2025?
