Preview: WWE NXT (1/14/25) – New Year’s Evil Fallout

This week’s episode of WWE NXT will be the fallout of New Year’s Evil. With the stars returning to base in Orlando, the chaos continues to kick off the year.

At time of writing, only three matches have been confirmed for the show. However, it can be expected that there will be more action, especially with two new champions running the show.

Here is all you need to know ahead of the January 14 NXT.

WWE NXT Full Card:

  • NXT Tag Team Championship Match: Nathan Frazer & Axiom (c) vs. OTM (Lucien Price & Bronco Nima)
  • Women’s Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders Match: Meta-Four (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend) vs. The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn)
  • NXT Women’s North American Championship #1 Contenders Match: Shotzi vs. Stephanie Vaquer

OTM Attempts To Claim NXT Gold

Out The Mud’s Lucien Price and Bronco Nima are set to challenge for the NXT Tag Team Championship. Over 100 days into their second reign, Nathan Frazer and Axiom are more than comfortable as champions but this challenge is a whole new level.

OTM has been looking to claim gold, especially with Jaida Parker, but the men’s tag team attempts to bring it home this week. OTM showed what they’re made of on the December 24 edition of NXT when they won the Christmas Chaos fatal four-way match.

Two #1 Contender Matches On Deck

There are two number-one contender matches on deck for the January 14 edition of NXT. The first will see Meta-Four’s Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend go up against The Unholy Union’s Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. The winner of this match will become the top contender for Bianca Belair and Naomi’s Women’s Tag Team Championship.

The other match will yield a number-one contender for Fallon Henley’s NXT Women’s North American Championship. Shotzi and Stephanie Vaquer will be the two battling for that top spot. With both these contender matches, it can be expected that the champions will be watching the action closely.
