AEW performer Tay Melo is set to make her return after sitting out the majority of 2023 and all of 2024 at STARDOM’s “New Year Dream” event on January 3rd, 2025. Melo had to take time off from in-ring competition in 2023 as she and her husband, Sammy Guevara, were expecting their first child.
#STARDOM New Year Dream 2025 is barely a week away on Jan. 3rd!

The former AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion is now ready to dazzle fans once again as she teams up with fellow AEW star and STARDOM pillar Mina Shirakawa to take on Thekla and current reigning and defending Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Athena.
This tag team match will be Tay Melo’s first since March 11th, 2023. Also, her last match for All Elite Wrestling took place on January 11th, 2023, on AEW Rampage, as she and her TayJay tag team partner Anna Jay fought Ruby Soho and Willow Nightingale in a losing effort in a Street Fight.
Tay Melo’s return is definitely a big win for not only the AEW’s women’s division but also the promotion as a whole. Before her valid sabbatical from professional wrestling, Tay Melo was a standout performer, coming into her own since becoming #AllElite.
Now that she’s back, fans will definitely welcome her back with open arms and be excited to see what they have been missing over the past almost two years.
