The Movies Stopping The Rock Joining WWE’s Bloodline Civil War

The Movies Stopping The Rock Joining WWE's Bloodline Civil War

The Rock’s family is currently embroiled in what is becoming trademark in fighting. The Great One made a shock appearance at WWE Bad Blood. He raised an unimpressed eyebrow in the direction of his extended Anoa’i Family members.

This led many to hope The Rock would join The Bloodline Civil War storyline on WWE TV this winter. But, since that Bad Blood appearance, The Rock has left Roman Reigns, Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso to deal with their beef with Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa themselves.

Some ardent web sleuthing has revealed Dwayne Johnson has a lot of movie commitments in November. These movies could stop The Rock from joining The Bloodline during the next chapter in the feud at Survivor Series: War Games on November 30.

Let’s take a look at what we know for certain.

Red One

The Great One leads an all-star cast in the Christmas action flick Red One. J.K Simmons plays Santa – or Red One – who gets kidnapped by Krampus. The Rock teams up with Chris Evans, Lucy Lou, and a giant CGI Polar Bear to try and save Santa and Christmas.

The Rock also has a magical wrist that enlarges toys and brings them to life. The movie will be released on November 6th in the UK, November 8th in China, and November 15th in North America.

When many hoped The Rock might show up at Crown Jewel during The Bloodline six-man match. But he was promoting Red One in Germany.

The Rock will appear at a special fan screening of Red One in London, this week. The Rock will then head to the US for Red One’s release there (November 15).

Moana 2

Johnson is also reprising his voice role in Moana 2 as the shapeshifting trickster Maui. Moana 2 is one of the most anticipated movie releases of the year.

The Rock even referenced the film when he uttered the iconic line “What can I say except you’re welcome” to Cody Rhodes’ mother in the build-up to WrestleMania 40. Moana 2 hits theaters on November 29th, just one day before Survivor Series: War Games.

Again, that puts The Rock on red carpets, chat show sofas, and in front of journalists that weekend. The Final Boss lacing up his boots and entering War Games with The Bloodline, therefore, seems sadly unlikely.

A Break To Layeth The Smackdown

The Smashing Machine is the next movie starring Johnson set for release. It is currently in post-production and set for a 2025 release.

This gives us a break in The Rock’s movie promotion schedule. The Rock could then join The Bloodline angle and build towards a match at WrestleMania 41.

With John Cena set to retire in 2025, there’s a chance we could see the two biggest movie stars begin their entertainment careers in WWE face off one more time. But is it too much to ask for the other former WWE performer-turned Hollywood star Dave Bautista to get involved?

Eiter way, The Rock will be back in the WWE soon to Layeth the SmackDown.
