In a major shock at the New Japan Cup event earlier today, SANADA joined up with Just 4 Guys. The Taichi-led faction came to life after the breakup of Suzuki-Gun in December of 2022 and they have now won over their first new recruit as SANADA joined the group and departed Los Ingobernables de Japon.

The moment came after an all-LIJ clash in the New Japan Cup when SANADA defeated LIJ leader Tetsuya Naito to eliminate him from the tournament. After the match, the change happened as the “Cold Skull” jumped ship and made Just 4 Guys into Just 5 Guys.
SANADA Has been with LIJ since his New Japan Pro Wrestling debut, he initially helped Naito cheat to get a win and slot in to the faction with ease, forming a successful tag team with EVIL for some time. Following EVIL’s betrayal and turn to join the Bullet Club, the former TNA/Wrestle-1 alumni was left without much to do in LIJ, something which Taichi had begun to pick on in an attempt to convert the former IWGP US Champion to his new group.
In Los Ingobernables there was always going to be a ceiling for SANADA as Naito and Shingo Takagi are ahead of him in the pecking order, with a change of scenery he may unleash his best form as a member of the newly renamed Just 5 Guys.
