Deep in the Neck of the Woods

Ring of Honor rivalry gets reignited this Wednesday night as ROH World Tag Team Champion Mark Briscoe takes on former ROH Pure Champion Josh Woods. Mark had one amazing bout against Jay Lethal just a few weeks ago that saw him defeat “The Franchise” in a very emotional tribute to his late brother Jay Briscoe. This week, Mark continues the legacy of “Dem Boyz” as a challenger steps up to the plate.

Backstage, Lexy Nair was asking Mark about his victory over Lethal when Smart Mark Sterling entered the fray offering the tag champ “representation.” Briscoe was not having any of it and politely declined the opportunity. Unfortunately, one of Sterling’s clients Josh Woods took exception to this and laid down the challenge. AEW management did not waste time and made it official for this Wednesday night.

These two have tangled in several bouts from their ROH days, and even a shot-drinking contest at one point. In their first meeting in AEW, who will come out on top?

Tag Team Turmoil in Texas

Tensions remain high between members of the Blackpool Combat Club. However, this group won’t let sins against their brothers go unpunished no matter the circumstances. After the heinous attack of LFI on Bryan Danielson, BCC cohorts Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli seek revenge as they battle RUSH and Preston Vance.

The “American Dragon” can now rest assured that despite the animosity, his teammates got his back and he can focus on his world title match at Revolution. If the performance of the BCC against Kip SabianThe Butcher, and The Blade is something to go by. LFI won’t have an easy night, by any means. It’s the BCC versus LFI! It all goes down this Wednesday night only on TBS!
