AEW continues its trek at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas. Beside Dailys Place and the NOW Arena, it’s the only building to receive 4 visits from AEW with a fifth under the ROH banner this past April with Supercard Of Honor. The first card since the company’s purchase. Let’s take a look at the AEW Rampage Card tonight.

AEW Rampage Card for December 16, 2022

Jon Moxley Takes Rampage

We have a new pattern for Rampage it seems. As now Jon Moxley competes for the second week in a row for the program. Last week saw him face off against Konsuke Takeshita. This week see’s him rubbing elbows yet again with the Jericho Appreciation Society as he takes on Sammy Guevara. Moxley promised to put the JAS behind him and the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club while Sammy has had a hard time since the 4 Way ROH World title match. Can Sammy manage to bounce back and finally send Mox on that fishing trip? Or did the former 3 time AEW World Champion just cancel it outright and will stay?

Wardlow Returns To Action

For the first since Full Gear, Wardlow returns to the ring for action. As slated, “Wardlow will be in action.” Despite losing the TNT Championship to Samoa Joe, he continues to chase after the “King of Television” after being betrayed by him. Can Wardlow secure that one-on-one match with Samoa Joe that is still eluding us?

Youth vs Doctorate

The young but popular Skye Blue faces off against the self-proclaimed Pillar of AEW, Dr. Britt Baker DMD. Baker has her first one-on-one match since losing to Saraya at Full Gear, but we already know when those two will clash again. As an apparently massive Tag Team match looms for January 11. In the meantime, we’ve seen Baker and Skye face off in tag team matches. Now they clash in a standard singles match.

Atomicos Action

Perfect for a Friday night, it’s a CMLL styled 4 on 4 Atomicos match. The Best Friends, including the All-Atlantic Champion Orange Cassidy team up with Dustin Rhodes to take on The Butcher, The Blade, Kip Sabian and Trent Seven. Kip Sabian has had the goal of challenging for the All-Atlantic Championship yet again, however whenever Orange Cassidy wants to accept, Sabian seems to find an excuse. Last week he claimed he was injured, which opened the door for Trent Seven to challenge thanks to the latest Orange Cassidy open challenge. Now, we have this match. A likely spectacle that will see bodies fly everywhere. Tucked in here we have Dustin Rhodes in action yet again in his homestate of Texas, as we get set for his 2023 farewell tour.

All that and more tonight on this AEW Rampage card.
