During the July 22 edition of SmackDown Maxxine Dupri made her debut as part of the Maximum Male Models. While the wrestling world was still reeling from the retirement of Vince McMahon many fans were left with one question “who is Maxxine Dupri?”. Before making her way to the main roster Maxxine was a part of NXT 2.0 under the name Sofia Cromwell where she was exclusively a manager. When we speculated on potential candidates to be Maxxine Dupri we never expected someone with no in-ring experience to receive the call-up.
Cromwell was a part of Von Wagner’s entourage as part of the Robert Stone Brand. She wasn’t in NXT long enough to make a major mark but the former cheerleader was supposedly planned to be in a tag team before the plan was scrapped. This means we may see the newcomer have her first match ever while on the main roster, if WWE decides to put her in such a position that is.
So the answer to the question “who is Maxxine Dupri?” is a simple one. It is former NXT 2.0 manager Sofia Cromwell, someone with enough presence and athletic background to stand out if given the chance.
