Tyler Bate Crowned New NXT UK Champion at July 7 Tapings

At the recent July 7 television tapings of NXT UK, a new NXT United Kingdom Champion was decided. Ilja Dragunov, the previous NXT UK Champion, was forced to relinquish the title due to injury, ending his reign at 319 days. Afterward, it was decided that a new champion would be crowned via an eight-man tournament. This gauntlet featured such notable names as Mark Coffey and Oliver Carter. The finals came down to former partners and tag team titleholders Tyler Bate and Trent Seven. In the finals, Tyler Bate bested Seven, becoming the new NXT UK Champion in the process. With this victory, Bate has become the first wrestler to hold the NXT UK title on multiple occasions.
