Moka Miyamoto vs Juria Nagano
This quite interesting opener is advertised as something of a martial-arts battle between Moka Miyamoto and Juria Nagano. Miyamoto debuted in July of 2020 and has slowly but surely grown as a performer making great use of her karate background. Her opponent is TJPW’s most recent debutant Juria Nagano, who is an actress and Karateka as well as a part-time wrestler with TJPW. Nagano’s more flashy inexperienced hybrid style will meet the more measured Miyamoto in an intriguing matchup.
Miu Watanabe vs Ryo Mizunami
This was originally scheduled to be Miu Watanabe vs the debuting Willow Nightingale but due to VISA issues, Nightingale could not make the show. Her replacement is one of the best around in Joshi wrestling veteran and AEW alumni Ryo “Aniki” Mizunami. This will be a battle of power vs. power as Watanabe is deceptively strong while Mizunami is a more typical powerhouse who has been through many wars through the years.
Mei Suruga & Suzume vs Riho & Arisu Endo
Wrestling fans everywhere can rejoice as Suruga and Suzume make their tag team debut as MeiBee Suprise. These two are energetic and crafty underdogs who could be a fantastic addition to the TJPW tag division. At Summer Sun Princess they face the unenviable task of taking on international star Riho who knows Suruga inside out.
International Princess Championship – Maki Itoh (c) vs Alex Windsor
One of the standout matches of this Summer Sun Princess Card is Maki Itoh defending her championship against British star Alex Windsor. Windsor made the challenge to Itoh after winning the She-1 tournament in EVE (TJPW’s partner promotion) and has faced both Shoko Nakajima and Miyu Yamashita this year. Windsor has been a standout performer ever since her return to pro wrestling having completely reinvented herself during her time away. This match is completely up in the air as TJPW seems to really like Windsor, but Itoh is going to represent the company internationally quite soon and they may want her to keep the title on hand.
Miyu Yamashita vs Thunder Rosa

AEW fans should pay attention to this one. Rosa has all but promised Yamashita an AEW Women’s Championship match if the ace of TJPW walks away with the victory here. It is quite possible that we see Yamashita come away with the win on her home turf and challenges Rosa on an AEW show very soon.
Princess Tag Team Championship – Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki (c) vs Saki Akai & Yuki Arai
The Magical Sugar Rabbits’ second reign as tag champions faces its biggest threat yet in the form of the new team of Saki Akai and Yuki Arai. The current champions have already held the titles for over 270 days which means they’re likely to lose them soon, and who better to lose them to than SKE48 member Yuki Arai and DDT star Saki Akai. The challenging team are very adept kickers which means they will batter the champions with strikes, but both Sakazaki and Mizuki are tougher than they look.
Princess of Princess Champion – Shoko Nakajima (c) vs Rika Tatsumi
The top title in TJPW is on the line in this massive clash between current champion Shoko Nakajima and a former POP champion in Rika Tatsumi. Tatsumi is one of only a handful of women in TJPW to have held this championship in the past, and there is no doubt that the white dragon will get her hands on it again someday soon. If Nakajima were to lose it would cap her second-reign early but that would be fitting for someone who has only ever had short title runs in her career.
Summer Sun Princess Start Times
So this one might get a tad complicated so make sure to pay attention. The show starts at 2:00pm on July 9 in Japan which is a 6:00am starting time for folks in the UK. For American readers, the show begins at 1:00am EST and 10:00pm pacific time on the night of July 8.
