Mercedes Martinez vs. Trish Adora
For the first time ever, a title will be on the line on AEW Dark: Elevation as ROH Women’s World Champion Mercedes Martinez rides a wave of momentum after defeating Deonna Purrazzo to unify the belts. Unfortunately, she does not get a break as she faces Trish Adora.
Adora is a somewhat new face to AEW fans, having appeared recently on Rampage in a losing effort as she teamed with Skye Blue and Willow Nightingale in a losing effort against The Baddies (Jade Cargill, Red Velvet, and Kiera Hogan). Adora did not get to show her full potential in that match-up, as any familiar with her Ring of Honor work knows she’s a force to be reckoned with, her most impressive win being over former NWA World Women’s Champion Allysin Kay.
I see Mercedes Martinez retaining the title here, but I hope this is not the last we see of Trish Adora. Either way, be sure to tune in because this is an episode you won’t want to miss!
