Thursday Night iMPACT Review (4/23/26) – The Rebellion Fallout, Part 2

Why, Xia?

Léi Ying Lee entered the iMPACT zone. On the verge of tears, she reflected on Brookside’s betrayal at Rebellion and called her out. Xia Brookside blamed Lee for her loss at the TNA Knockouts World Championship after Lee showed her the video of her father. Lee was ready to stand by her side despite everything. Xia reflected that she had made a mistake and accepted Lee’s apology. Xia Brookside embraced Léi Ying Lee and then attacked her. She stated that they are done and dropped her in the ring.

The Era of Elayna

Elayna Black had a squash match. Black slammed Katie Arquette into the canvas. She dropped her off the apron and slammed her head into the edge of the apron. She stomped onto Arquette’s back, dropped her with the Blackout, and scored the pinfall.

With Swann and Swing

Earlier, Gia Miller was with Rich Swann to talk about his TNA World Championship match. BDE joined him to show his support. Rich Swann and Mike Santana could main-event a PLE, and they proved it. As I told you in the preview, it was the first time these two wrestlers had competed one-on-one, ever.

The match is a marvel to watch. The Champion vs. former Champion formula worked. After a clean win, Mike Santana helped Rich Swann to his feet after the match, which showed a huge sign of respect. Daria Rae presented Mike Santana with the TNA World Championship belt.

The French Nygma, as she loves to call herself, has been a wrestling writer and editor for nearly a decade for SteelChair Magazine/Wrestling SC, TWM and Distortion Media. She has interviewed hundreds of wrestlers from WWE, MLW, TNA, NXT, AEW, and many more promotions. The Nygma is now the new “Authority” on TNA Wrestling and NXT for Last Word on Pro Wrestling. The writer/editor also runs @3WWrestling, her own platform.
