Jacob Fatu vs. Tama Tonga

Former WWE Tag Team Champions Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga find themselves on opposite sides as they find themselves in a battle. Fatu was on fire tonight and made quick work of his old tag team partner, hitting him with a Mighty Moonsault for the win.

Fatu would try to get on the mic, but before he could speak, Drew McIntyre would assault him. Fatu would try to fight back, but McIntyre would hit a Claymore and violently beat down Fatu, sending him into the steel steps headfirst. McIntyre would get the last laugh by striking Fatu with a steel chair and putting him in handcuffs, restraining him on the ropes.

Jacob Fatu was left a bloody mess as McIntyre brutalized him. Drew would put more salt into the wound by asking how it feels to be “back in jail,” calling Fatu an “animal.” Fatu would headbutt him, but McIntyre would cuff him behind his back and throw him back into the ring, hitting him with a Claymore once again and whipping him with a leather belt before WWE officials finally pulled him off.

Backstage:

  • We see R-Truth teaching Danhausen how to get on the ESPN+ App for WrestleMania 42, before Damian Priest walked in confused.
  • Rhea Ripley would lay out B-FAB, saying, “One down.”

Sami Zayn Talks to the WWE Universe

In a big turn of events, Sami Zayn was met with boos, saying he doesn’t care because he only cares about the “ride or die” portion of the fanbase, and whether anyone likes it or not, he’s walking in and out of WrestleMania 42 United States Champion.

Trick Williams would enter the scene, along with Lil Yachty. Trick says the WWE Universe is clearly sick of Sami Zayn. As the “Anointed One,” he wants to literally and metaphorically wash his hands of Sami Zayn being his 1st WrestleMania opponent. He’s going to take care of business and become U.S. Champion.

Zayn would reply and say no matter how he feels, he needs to prove himself against a “bona fide WrestleMania main-eventer.”
