Taped this week in Fresno, California, this week’s AEW Collision is likely to feature bangers, developments, and build for the next few weeks heading towards the next PPV, AEW Dynasty. AEW Dynamite is already looking like a fun Wednesday night, with the possibility of blood and violent storytelling showcasing AEW’s creative splendour. With so many new champions, singles, tag teams, and trios, plus big returns from Will Ospreay, Kenny Omega, Christian Cage, and Adam Copeland, it would be greedy and top-heavy to cram their first words back onto one show.
Besides PPV overspill, what about overspill from AEW Dynamite and the fallout of this week’s coffin match and no-holds-barred match? What about some fresh directions, first defences, and potential rematches for those new champions?
Let’s speculate until we know more. Check back for all the latest updates.

At AEW Revolution, a new AEW National champion was crowned by Jungle Jack Perry. Winning his first singles championship, the former Scapegoat’s second chance saw the hometown boy get an emphatic victory. Skinning the cat in a way few have managed, the battle royal specialist defeated recent rival, Ricochet. However, will the Demand’s Kingpin be happy with the result? What about Luchasauras? The dinosaur was able to pull a bus. Are we close to a Jurassic Express return? As for the blow-off between these two high-flyers, how long will we have to wait?
"That was revenge for my best friend. … And that was something that I've been dreaming about for a long, long time."

What about Willow Nightingale’s next steps? Defeating Lena Kross in the preshow, but losing the AEW Women’s Tag Team Championships on the main card… Are the Babes of Wraths going to get a rematch? Who is next for the new champions, The Divine Dominion? Compared to the past, the women’s division doesn’t have the same spotlight issue. Like with Perry and Ricochet, are we surely going to get a blowoff?
Collision is consistently FTR’s home base. The AEW World champions have some bragging rights after defeating The Young Bucks in the AEW Revolution opener. Although the return of Adam Copeland and Christian Cage to close some unfinished business brings back to the table a big dream match for somewhere down the line. Yet doesn’t Cage have business to settle with Nick Wayne?

Don Callis Family and Death Rider Saga Developments
The Don Callis Family had a bad night overall. Jon Moxley bested and bloodied Konosuke Takeshita, losing the Family’s opportunity to reclaim the AEW Continental Championship. “Best friends”, Protokada and Mark Davis lost those newly won AEW World Trios Championships to JetSpeed and Mistico. If not for Andrade defeating Bandido, it would have been a clean sweep of Ls.

Before AEW Revolution, the Don Callis Family and Death Riders were clashing weekly. Will this feud continue? Or, given Will Ospreay’s return, someone with bad blood with both parties, does this rivalry become more complicated? One thing is for sure when it comes to TNT Champion, Kyle Fletcher. Kazuchika Okada and Takeshita are not done trying to one-up each other, and Fletcher is likely to remain pulled in the middle.
With plenty of members in both factions, plus the various untested combinations, things might not be over yet. Andrade El Idolo, possibly being the one to take the CMLL World Championship from Claudio Castagnoli, doesn’t seem like a crazy possibility at some point. We are two PPVs away from Double or Nothing and the seemingly obligatory yearly staple of Anarchy in the Arena.
Whether these two factions remain warring or their joint enemy makes them once again friends, we’ll find out Saturday.
