AEW Revolution delivered title changes, huge moments, and plenty of massive next steps, some of which might come together on Wednesday night with two hard-hitting, potentially bloody matches.
While it might be a new week and a new PPV cycle, there were plenty of breadcrumbs on Sunday to suggest where things are headed as we head towards AEW Dynasty on April 12. Are we going to hear from the returning Adam Copeland and Christian Cage?
Surely Will Ospreay will speak after his return and post-match assault on The Death Rider for the Continental Championship? Well, we know at the very least, the Aerial Assassin, after double neck fusion, returns to action this week against Blake Christian! There was one big return we’ll discuss when we’re talking about “Timeless” Toni Storm and Marina Shafir.
Wars continue, but will they conclude?

Coffin Match
Sunday, Gabe Kidd disrupted the AEW Revolution media scrum. By swearing and explicitly making his feelings/disloyalty to NJPW known in kayfabe, Kidd addressed something that, for some fans like me, has kept us from investing in the character. Kidd made it clear that things with Allin end on Wednesday.
After #AEWRevolution, @GabeKidd0115 stormed into the media scrum with some colorful language — and an ultimatum for @DarbyAllin! pic.twitter.com/q2ASxE2LUR

For weeks, Kidd has been promising to make Allin “push(ing) up daisies”. Since AEW Forbidden Door last year, Kidd has stalked and refused to give Allin space. Defeated at AEW Worlds End, Kidd has made it his mission to do what no one else has done: take out Darby Allin. It doesn’t matter how many steps of stairs Allin is thrown down (or into). It doesn’t matter how many burning tables burn his flesh and crack under his thin frame. Allin always gets back up.
Although Allin’s ascension did not require him to defeat Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship, the Seattle native proved himself unkillable. Now, helping to establish Kidd and The Dogs in the AEW landscape, this likely bloody, brutal, and painful-to-watch bump-fest could be what puts War Ready on radars—especially with the other Dogs, Clark Collins and Dave Finlay, bringing guerrilla tactics.
While this might be Allin’s match, the record shows a score of 4-2. One thing guaranteed from AEW’s violent storytelling is splendour.

No Holds Barred
Embodying the Death Rider’s spirit, “Timeless” Toni Storm beat Marina Shafir, but The Problem wasn’t content to end their feud in LA. Shafir Getting a cheap shot on Storm post-match, when Storm was confronting a shocking debut. Shafir’s friend and partner from the Four Horsewomen of MMA, Ronda Rousey, made a shocking debut at AEW Revolution. Held away from Storm by a flood of black-and-white shirts, Shafir took an opportunity.
If there is one thing we have learned about “Timeless” Toni Storm, it is that the starlet is no shrinking violet. Storm is a shrieking, violent icon. As comfortable producing a snuff film in the ring as a happy ending. With no holds barred, Shafir might wrongly assume she has the advantage.
Physically, she will. Technical, in terms of ability, yes. In terms of spirit, determination, and mentally, Storm is like the British weather. We are still in California. After the match, Rousey was separated from Storm by black-and-white shirts. Could she be about to make her Dynamite debut? Could Rousey be a solution to the Problem? A confrontation with Storm was teased. Was it a one-and-done? Or will there be a payoff?
She's a biter!
