Ranking the 5 Greatest Celebrity Appearances in WrestleMania History

The countdown to WrestleMania 42 is on, and while the card is stacked with high-stakes championship matches, some of the most anticipated moments involve icons fighting for their legacies rather than a belt.

However, while many fans focus on those two elements, there is another exciting aspect that defines “The Grandest Stage” every year: celebrity appearances. Since the first WrestleMania in 1985, over 140 celebrities have made their mark at “The Showcase of Immortals.”

The last two years alone featured some unforgettable cameos.  At WrestleMania 40, Philadelphia Eagles legends Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson donned Luchador masks to aid Rey Mysterio and Andrade in their tag match against Santos Escobar and Dominik Mysterio. Then, at WrestleMania 41, hip-hop artist Travis Scott made a massive impact on Night 2, getting directly involved in the high-stakes main event between John Cena and Cody Rhodes for the WWE Undisputed Championship.

Fast forward to today, and rumors are swirling that seven-time Super Bowl Champion, Tom Brady, could be making an appearance. The timing makes perfect sense, especially considering the recent social media drama between Brady and Logan Paul. It’s a crossover that feels especially fitting given that WrestleMania 42 is taking place at Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders, a franchise in which Brady holds a minority ownership stake.

Adding fuel to the fire, WWE’s creative and merchandise departments have reportedly begun developing logos and gear specifically for Brady. Two potential trademarks have surfaced in these discussions: “The Untouchable Tom Brady” and “T-Bone.”

While the potential arrival of Tom Brady has the WWE Universe buzzing, this unique blend of sports and entertainment is exactly what makes “The Showcase of the Immortals” special. To celebrate this spectacle, let’s look back at five times celebrities didn’t just show up, they stole the show.

5. Snoop Dog (WrestleMania 39)

WrestleMania 39 featured one of the most impressive and unexpected celebrity moments involving hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg. While in the ring alongside The Miz, the duo introduced a returning Shane McMahon, who was set to face The Miz in a surprise one-on-one match.

However, only seconds into the match, McMahon suffered a legitimate injury, tearing his quad during a leapfrog and leaving him unable to continue. In what Triple H now calls one of the most impressive audibles he’s ever seen, Snoop Dogg immediately stepped in to save the segment, turning a potential disaster into a WrestleMania moment.

Taking McMahon’s place mid-match, the Hip-Hop icon laid out The Miz with two punches and finished him off with his own ‘Snoop-a-delic’ version of the People’s Elbow, picking up a massive win in the process.
