The King’s Speech
Before the segment, backstage, we saw AJ Francis disrespect The Home Town Man’s hometown. The Home Town Man attacked AJ Francis. In the ring, Frankie Kazarian reflected on the Guitar Case Casket Match between Elijah and Mustafa Ali. Elijah joined Kazarian as his special guest. He wanted Elijah’s thoughts on the match.
The King of TNA wondered if Elijah would try for any of the TNA titles. The Home Town Man and AJ Francis interrupted Kazarian and Elijah, fighting on the stage. AJ Francis threw The Home Town Man into the fans with a chokeslam.
Leon Slater retains, but Eric Young attacks
Earlier, Nic Nemeth told Gia Miller he was confident he would win the TNA X-Division Title. Also, Leon Slater was talking with The Hardys about his match against Nic Nemeth for the TNA X-Division Title. Meanwhile, Eric Young wanted Leon Slater to win. Ryan Nemeth accompanied his brother to the ring, which meant interferences on the menu.
Nic Nemeth connected with a DDT onto Slater and went for Dangerzone. Slater countered with a Standing Blue Thunderbomb. He set Nemeth up for the Swanton 450, but Nemeth avoided it. Slater connected with the Styles Clash, went for another Swanton 450, but Nemeth got his knees up in time.
Ryan Nemeth went to interfere again, but ate a kick to the face. Nic Nemeth connected with a Superkick, flattened him, and went for a cover. Slater countered Nemeth with a Suplex from the top rope. He slammed down with a Swanton 450 for the win. After the match, Eric Young burst into the ring and dropped him with a Piledriver outside the ring.
Mike Santana vs. Steve Maclin at TNA Sacrifice
TNA World Champion Mike Santana addressed the Steve Maclin situation. He felt that taking accountability is what got him to where he is today. He called out Steve Maclin for attacking Hannifan. Mike Santana was ready to face Steve Maclin. He called out Director of Authority Santino Marella to reinstate Steve Maclin, but Director of Operations Daria Rae came out instead.
Daria Rae agreed that Maclin should be officially reinstated. Santino Marella joined them, officially announcing that Steve Maclin and TNA World Champion Mike Santana will face off at TNA Sacrifice for the TNA World Championship.
