Kevin Knight
When AEW first signed Kevin Knight in Spring 2025, the promotion wasted no time in slotting him with some heavy stars. One such bout was a contest against Will Ospreay that put him on the map at AEW Dynasty. Since then, he and Speedball Mike Bailey have wowed audiences with their workrate. Paired with Hangman Adam Page, the three won the AEW World Trios Championship.
However, Tony Khan still seems firmly behind Knight. The more time he has on the microphone and in the ring, the more evident a star he is to anyone watching. The February 4 episode highlighted both of those skills specifically. Having victories over Scorpio Sky, The Beast Mortos, and Mansoor furthered that. It didn’t hurt that he dressed down MJF in a promo in front of a Denver crowd on the 28th.
The nickname of “The Jet” suits Knight. Not only can he work a grounded approach, but he is also at ease in the sky. Knight’s UFO Splash is a treat to the eyes for that reason. I don’t doubt his partner, Bailey, will reach Knight’s levels, but for now, the former’s mission of being the now and not the future looks like a foregone conclusion.
Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter & Alex Windsor)
A wealthy string of vignettes centering on Hayter and Windsor propping each other up as sluggers set the stage for both women. This British alliance makes sense as their matches are explosive and spectacular on their own. Giving the women’s tag team division a new set of heavies will assuredly juice up its title scene.
I will admit that these vignettes did much of the heavy lifting for these two Brits. The reason I say that is due to them only featuring in a couple of matches across the month, and each was late into its 28 days.
Clobbering Viva Van and B3CCA on the 18th and demolishing Gypsy Mac & Tyra Russamee on the 28th quickly instilled the picture as to what can be expected of their moveset and chemistry.

Slated to take on former WWE and TNA talent The Iinspiration on March 4, the Brawling Birds are already the gatekeepers of the division. They’re off to a strong start, and though I feel they can be afforded a loss or two, it’s comforting to see that Tony Khan’s all in on them as a pair.
