Wren Sinclair put on a gutsy display to advance to the WWE Speed Women’s Tournament Final. The No Quarter Catch Crew member had a determined opponent in Nikkita Lyons to come through, but Sinclair showed serious grit to set up the #1 contender’s match with Thea Hail next week.
This was only Lyons’ second WWE NXT match of 2026, so she could be forgiven for feeling a little rusty. However, the Lyoness was in control for much of the encounter’s opening minutes. But with the WWE EVOLVE Women’s Champion, Kendal Grey, encouraging her from the corner, Sinclair was determined to turn the tide.
Into the final minute, and neither Superstar had yet to land a blow that could spell victory. A Spinning Back Kick out of nowhere from Lyons looked to have delivered victory, but Sinclair managed to wriggle free from Lyons’ pin attempt. One Back Suplex later, and suddenly, Lyons was locked into the Final Wrench. There were less than ten seconds on the clock, but it still proved too long for Lyons. Her submission to Sinclair secured the win with just four seconds remaining.

Thea Hail Awaits
Thanks to an assist from Jaida Parker, Thea Hail pulled off a quick victory over Blake Monroe to progress to the Tournament Final last week on NXT. Hail inadvertently distracted the referee, allowing Parker to emerge from the audience and stun Monroe with a Hipnotic. The former Chase U member then landed a Running Corkscrew Neckbreaker to seal victory over Monroe.
Hail will be hoping to add a WWE Speed title to her North American Championship triumph last year. But first, she will have to overcome an improving Sinclair, who has benefited from her new alliance with Kendal Grey. The winner of next week’s #1 contenders match will earn a WWE Speed title shot against Fallon Henley.
The Fatal Influence member has been the WWE Speed Women’s Champion since November. She defeated Zaria for the vacant title at NXT Gold Rush, but has yet to make her first title defence.
