WWE Speed: Jaida Parker Continues to be a Thorn in Blake Monroe’s Side

Fans were anticipating more drama between Blake Monroe and Thea Hail. The bitter rivals were competing against each other in singles competition for the first time since their notorious North American Championship bout in December. This time, it was a WWE Speed title opportunity that was top of the agenda. Blake Monroe is not one to make friends, and it proved to be another enemy that provided a costly slice of drama for the Glamour.

Jaida Parker ensured that her feud with Monroe would not be short-lived. Following Hail’s blistering start to the match, Monroe sought refuge on the outside of the ring. However, her tactical decision played right into the hands, or should I say hips, of Miss Parker.

Parker delivered a Hipnotic to Monroe before rolling her dazed enemy back into the ring. The referee was none the wiser, inadvertently distracted by Hail. But the former Chase U member was more than happy to take advantage. Landing a Running Corkscrew Neckbreaker, Hail secured the win and a spot in the tournament final.

Who could Hail face in the WWE Speed Tournament Final?

Thea Hail made it two out of two against Monroe in singles competition. But the hard work doesn’t stop there for the former Women’s North American Champion. Hail now awaits the winner of the other opening round match, which two NXT veterans will contest.

On next week’s episode of NXT, NQCC’s Wren Sinclair will take on Nikkita Lyons. Interestingly, Lyons has aligned herself with Blake Monroe and faced Parker in a losing effort on NXT last month. If Lyons does progress to the final, it could have some interesting permutations for both Hail and Parker’s ongoing feuds with Monroe.

As for reigning champion Fallon Henley, she will be keen to finally prove her worth as the Women’s WWE Speed Champion. Henley won the vacant title at Zaria’s expense at NXT Gold Rush in November, but has yet to make her first title defense.
